As an update, since we’ve still been seeing issues around date formatting, so we’re pursuing another fix that should help: If you’re using Planner within Teams, we will default to using the same language/local as Teams.
If you’re seeing this issue persist outside of Teams and your language/locale is set properly for your Office account, please let us know in the comments below!
Thanks,

We’re in the process of finalizing designs for a Planner add-in for Outlook. From the add-in, users will be able to create tasks for Planner without having to leave their inbox. The email subject and body will autofill as the task title and description, respectively, and users will have the ability to set plan, bucket and assignees . We appreciate your feedback and patience and look forward to this first step in what we hope to be a greater integration with Outlook!

Agreed. We internally use trim:// browser protocol to work with files in our corporate document management system.
You want to put in a layer of protection, sure, but at least give us the option to use standard, supported, and totally legitimate use of custom protocols.
My concern here is that you're too interested in pushing your own cloud storage options to let us operate the way that works for us.

Annoying restriction, particularly given that the ability to add a link as an attachment is nerfed to require an HTTPS:// prefix.
We have the need for other handlers, and a standard hyperlink in the comment would allow this.
I feel like you guys have a team working behind the scenes to make all of these tools problematic to use in a corporate environment.

Would adding a planner tab to a teams group achieve this for you?
It might pay to clarify what the desktop app would allow that embedding Planner in Teams would not.
