As an update, since we’ve still been seeing issues around date formatting, so we’re pursuing another fix that should help: If you’re using Planner within Teams, we will default to using the same language/local as Teams.
If you’re seeing this issue persist outside of Teams and your language/locale is set properly for your Office account, please let us know in the comments below!
Thanks,

Hello! Since this is one of our top asks from users (and has been for quite a while), we wanted to provide a quick update here. As mentioned in our last update, our team has been heads down shipping some recent integrations, such as the Tasks app in teams and Tasks in Docs (both of which have initial versions rolling out now!).
Recurring tasks (and the other top UserVoice asks) are still high on our backlog. I’ll provide updates here as this feature gets closer to being shipped! We also may use this forum to reach out to you, our engaged users, with design questions we have—so stay tuned if you’d like to help us bring you the best version of recurring tasks!
In the meantime, it’s great to see so much active engagement here. We continue to iterate on our initial designs as we get more feedback from users,…

This is essential for our team to move to the Planner platform. Massive oversight Microsoft on not having this before now. How is the November 2019 update coming along?
WOW! So much feedback this needs to be fixed for over 4 years! I have correct display as tab in teams, however in the Planner web-app (and in email notifications) it shows as US date when everything I have is set to AU date format.
Even planner settings itself: https://snipboard.io/MuBZ0Q.jpg
Please fix urgently.
