Thank you for your feedback! We’ve improved the ‘Copy task’ dialogue so you can chose a different plan to send a copy of a task to! We’ll be exploring and expanding the ways in which you and your team can organize work in Planner, and hope this will be a helpful step forward.

Copying is not moving. Simply copying creates the confusion that the requirements are now in two places. Copying and then deleting the original is more work than we should have to do. (Why so many steps?) My team would LOVE to use this product but it's just too much work now.
There is another thread that is requesting multiple boards per plan. That would be great too!
