Good news all, you can now filter by Progress using the “Filter” menu across all views, including the Schedule view.
Currently this is only available in Planner Web, we will enable in Teams next.Nicole Dyehouse supported this idea ·

As an update, our colleagues in To-Do have delivered the ability to create tasks directly from Outlook.com!
To-Do has rolled out the Tasks Pane for Outlook.com’s Mail & Calendar, and is also the new Tasks for Outlook.com! With Planner’s & To-Do’s integration, we hope that To-Do will become a central hub for all of your personal tasks, and that switching to Planner to collaborate with others is seamless!
Here’s more information on the To-Do’s task experience within Outlook: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/using-microsoft-to-do-with-outlook-com-416865a1-0c4d-4e69-af6f-f98ffce3747c

It would be ideal if when an email is sent you could choose if it addresses a task in a Plan you are part of and if you clicked it it would let you choose the Plan and then the task so that you can update the task accordingly (add a note, attach the email, mark as in progress/complete, whatever)

the ability to take several pictures in a row while attaching them to a task in the mobile application would be critical as well. having to approve each individual pic is a time sink.

this is possible by clicking on the task in the schedule and the task card pop up appears. then you can just change the Progress status and youre good to go
