Thanks for the feedback on the Filter menu and cross-plan search functionality!
Next we’d like to pursue widening the Filter metadata to include other fields like assignee, description, and checklists. We’re also working with a search team in Office to align with UX and functionality across Office 365.
This work hasn’t been scheduled yet, but we will update this thread as soon as it is.
Please continue to share details on the filter and search functionality you’d like to see in Planner!
The Planner Team
I think making this a top-level item without having to first click on the "Filter" menu to get to it would make a lot of sense for Planner. My user expectation is built around web apps like Trello and Gmail which make text search a top-level feature, and the primary way I find stuff in those web apps.
Having hotkeys/shortcuts similar to Trello would be amazing. The one I miss the most was hovering over a card and pressing [space] to assign or unassign myself to a card (task): https://trello.com/shortcuts
I've looked through the planner shortcuts and they are really lacking: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/keyboard-shortcuts-in-microsoft-planner-3a982db6-f8c2-41cb-9eb6-a7ee8a055e4d
I agree. I hit Control + Right Arrow and Control + Left Arrow all the time while I am setting the title on a card to jump between words in the title. I expect it to work like it does in virtually any other place in any other windows app where it will just move the cursor to the next/previous word. I always forget you cannot do this in Planner, even though I have accidentally moved lists right and left probably a hundred times or more by accident now, and every time it is very frustrating.

Thanks for your feedback on Copy plan!
We’re planning on pursuing the following improvements to copy plan:
1) Enable users to copy a plan within an existing group
2) Copy plan in Teams
Currently we are booked through November working on three BIG initiatives, but should have an update on scheduling soon after.
In the meantime, we’d love to hear how you’re currently using copy plan and any other improvements we should pursue.
Thanks again for your patience and feedback!

This is our single biggest pain point in our usage of planner today.
