Hi everyone,
We recently announced and rolled out the new Microsoft Project, which was designed specifically to help teams of all sizes collaborate on projects more efficiently and achieve more together. It was designed to be simple and powerful, so that anyone can get started quickly and take control of any project – regardless of its size – right away.
The new Microsoft Project has been redesigned. You can see your tasks on a Gantt chart (“Timeline”) view, a Board view (similar to Planner’s), and a Grid view, both requested from many of our Planner users. I encourage you to look at the links below and the attached GIF for a sneak peak.
With this, we also rolled out a new subscription plan called “Project Plan 1” that allows you to start quickly and manage projects easily via the web browser.

Thanks everyone…

"Volkswagon have decided not to implement steering wheels on their new Polo line as it may undercut sales of their Golf model. Should you need to change direction while travelling we suggest purchasing our Golf model."
Sheesh! You guys need to get your heads around product development, differentiation and customer satisfaction for the 21st century.
Even with a Gantt feature, Planner would not be Project and vice versa.

Surely this was obvious from the outset? If not, at least from the moment there was an export? Absolutely essential. Flow is NOT the answer.

Thanks for your feedback!
We’d like to add custom columns to Planner, but don’t have anything planned at this time. We’re working on three big initiatives that are landing later this year (stay tuned!) and will likely start work on recurring tasks soon after.
Please continue to vote as we utilize UserVoice heavily to order our product backlog and will adjust regularly if things change!
Thanks again for your patience and feedback,

Yes please! Or added to the top having reverse sorted would work even better. Dragging down through dozens of tasks is a real ... drag!
Actually, best of all would simply be a right click to 'Insert new task here' option.
Does Microsoft not test this stuff in the real world?
You've created the MS Teams environment, so don't fob us off with "buy Project for your team". You need to follow through with a basic Gantt chart for Planner.
