Agreed - it is a massive oversight tasks cannot be viewed just for one user - only by plan. Need this urgently for effective staff management. Why, with so many requesting it, hasn't this simple additional not already been added - Does Microsoft actually care about providing best solutions to it's customers.

Hi everyone,
We recently announced and rolled out the new Microsoft Project, which was designed specifically to help teams of all sizes collaborate on projects more efficiently and achieve more together. It was designed to be simple and powerful, so that anyone can get started quickly and take control of any project – regardless of its size – right away.
The new Microsoft Project has been redesigned. You can see your tasks on a Gantt chart (“Timeline”) view, a Board view (similar to Planner’s), and a Grid view, both requested from many of our Planner users. I encourage you to look at the links below and the attached GIF for a sneak peak.
With this, we also rolled out a new subscription plan called “Project Plan 1” that allows you to start quickly and manage projects easily via the web browser.

OK, so reflecting on a previous post - it is now March 2020 and still Microsoft has done nothing. These are simple requests - but the actual users are apparently being ignored.
In a task manger, the most basic requirement is being able to sort tasks within a group view - why is this not enabled after so many requests.? It's really frustrating that there isn't even any response on this board from Microsoft Staff.
It is such a basic and fundamental requirement of any task list - that when I see a column of tasks that I can then sort that column top-to-bottom by one of the other criteria each task has.
Please Microsoft - actually read the multiple requests you receive and respond with some positive updates. These are people who are paying you for your solutions, so please update them to fulfil your customer's needs properly.
