    Thank you for your feedback! We’ve improved the ‘Copy task’ dialogue so you can chose a different plan to send a copy of a task to! We’ll be exploring and expanding the ways in which you and your team can organize work in Planner, and hope this will be a helpful step forward.

    why wasn't copy bucket or multiple tasks in one go part of this functionality? I rarely want to copy jusy one task!

    We don’t have any major updates to share at this time – Export to excel is still our first step towards delivering better reporting capabilities in Planner. You can find updates and discussion on this suggestion here:

    With due date options in the Filter menu, and the ability to group tasks by due date category, we’re hoping that this will help Planner users find and organize upcoming dates and deadlines.

    We understand there is still an ask for sorting tasks within an existing grouping, please continue to use this thread to share feedback on this.

    Thank you for your feedback on recurring tasks.

    We’ve completed our initial designs (thanks a lot to your scenarios/details!) and are waiting for this to move it’s way up our backlog. We should have a scheduling update in November when work on three BIG initiatives wraps up. Stay tuned!

    This is great - but we still need Copy Buckets.
    If i search Copy Buckets in this forum there are 911 different requests that have split teh total vot for this simple funcionality.

    Planner Team request -

    can you merge multiple requests with the same title request under one title and see what the total votes are please.

    Thanks for the feedback on the Filter menu and cross-plan search functionality!

    Next we’d like to pursue widening the Filter metadata to include other fields like assignee, description, and checklists. We’re also working with a search team in Office to align with UX and functionality across Office 365.

    This work hasn’t been scheduled yet, but we will update this thread as soon as it is.

    Please continue to share details on the filter and search functionality you’d like to see in Planner!

    Allowing sub tasks to be assigned and then having a top level view of ALL tasks progress rather than jumping between plans.

    I would like to go into planner and where it says "My Tasks" there be an option to see "ALL Tasks" so as a manager I can see what has/hasnt been done, and in team meetings we can move taks around between people.
    Not really sure why this is still not an option - its a very basic requirement!

    There is now an excel download, but no corresponding import - apparently this is planned.
    without back-up this is a huge risk tool. But no statement here on Voice.

    Thanks for your feedback on Copy plan!

    We’re planning on pursuing the following improvements to copy plan:
    1) Enable users to copy a plan within an existing group
    2) Copy plan in Teams

    Currently we are booked through November working on three BIG initiatives, but should have an update on scheduling soon after.

    In the meantime, we’d love to hear how you’re currently using copy plan and any other improvements we should pursue.

    As an update, since we’ve still been seeing issues around date formatting, so we’re pursuing another fix that should help: If you’re using Planner within Teams, we will default to using the same language/local as Teams.

    If you’re seeing this issue persist outside of Teams and your language/locale is set properly for your Office account, please let us know in the comments below!

    Nov '19 - this is still an issue in UK - just starting looking to use this in our office and amazed that some very basic functionality is missing here.

    Hi everyone,

    We recently announced and rolled out the new Microsoft Project, which was designed specifically to help teams of all sizes collaborate on projects more efficiently and achieve more together. It was designed to be simple and powerful, so that anyone can get started quickly and take control of any project – regardless of its size – right away.

    The new Microsoft Project has been redesigned. You can see your tasks on a Gantt chart (“Timeline”) view, a Board view (similar to Planner’s), and a Grid view, both requested from many of our Planner users. I encourage you to look at the links below and the attached GIF for a sneak peak.

    With this, we also rolled out a new subscription plan called “Project Plan 1” that allows you to start quickly and manage projects easily via the web browser.
