    Thanks for your feedback!

We’d like to add custom columns to Planner, but don’t have anything planned at this time. We’re working on three big initiatives that are landing later this year (stay tuned!) and will likely start work on recurring tasks soon after.

Please continue to vote as we utilize UserVoice heavily to order our product backlog and will adjust regularly if things change!

Thanks again for your patience and feedback,
    The Planner Team

Really? does anyone understand how tasks are managed? Surely the ability to categorise them in many ways is a Number 1 priority. The fact that nearly 7000 users have taken time out of their day to vote for this feature suggests that 100's of thousands actually would benefit from it's introduction.

WE ARE ABOUT TO PULL THE PIN ON OFFICE 365 ACROSS OUR ORGANISATION AS YOU JUST DO NOT GET IT!!!

Micro$oft. You are kidding yourselves if you think we will roll Planner out across our Organisation without the ability to lock-down who can delete tasks. And importantly that there MUST be a permanent log to allow the legals to pull the data back out if required.

To be clear, Microsoft is about to lose a huge account because your flagship product Teams/Planner DOES NOT meet absolute minimum requirements.

This is a Critical issue which makes your solution unworkable.
Without the ability to lock down the ability to delete tasks or prevent members from deleting them, your product is no more than a fun app.
Go back to records management 101 school Microsoft!!

    Hi everyone,

We recently announced and rolled out the new Microsoft Project, which was designed specifically to help teams of all sizes collaborate on projects more efficiently and achieve more together. It was designed to be simple and powerful, so that anyone can get started quickly and take control of any project – regardless of its size – right away.

The new Microsoft Project has been redesigned. You can see your tasks on a Gantt chart (“Timeline”) view, a Board view (similar to Planner’s), and a Grid view, both requested from many of our Planner users. I encourage you to look at the links below and the attached GIF for a sneak peak.

With this, we also rolled out a new subscription plan called “Project Plan 1” that allows you to start quickly and manage projects easily via the web browser.
