    It's absolutely ridiculous that the original post was in April 2016 (OVER 3 YEARS AGO) and we still do not have an update on including "setting a default view" feature with Planner. Shame on you!

    Hi everyone,

    Thank you for your patience. We have updated our Copy Plan experience – please try it out today!

    This improvement will include the ability to choose an existing group or team to copy the plan into (or choose to create a new group). You’ll also be able to customize what gets copied over. Attachments can only be copied over into existing groups.

    We’d like to add custom columns to Planner, but don’t have anything planned at this time. We’re working on three big initiatives that are landing later this year (stay tuned!) and will likely start work on recurring tasks soon after.

    Please continue to vote as we utilize UserVoice heavily to order our product backlog and will adjust regularly if things change!

    Don't look to create these fields in advance or put arbitrary limits. Use SharePoint List columns as your guideline. For example:

    Settings > Create Column

    Column name: ______________

    The type of information in this column is:
    ● Single line of text
    ○ Multiple lines of text
    ○ Choice (menu to choose from)
    ○ Number (1, 1.0, 100)
    ○ Currency ($, ¥, €)
    ○ Date and Time
    ○ Lookup (information already on this site)
    ○ Yes/No (check box)
    ○ Person or Group
    ○ Hyperlink or Picture
    ○ Calculated (calculation based on other columns)
    ○ Task Outcome
    ○ External Data
    ○ Managed Metadata

    It's so silly to not have the ability to change the default "Group by" setting. This should not be difficult to implement
