Thanks for your feedback on Copy plan!

We’re planning on pursuing the following improvements to copy plan:
    1) Enable users to copy a plan within an existing group
    2) Copy plan in Teams

Currently we are booked through November working on three BIG initiatives, but should have an update on scheduling soon after.

In the meantime, we’d love to hear how you’re currently using copy plan and any other improvements we should pursue.

Thanks again for your patience and feedback!

Any update on this ability ?
I have the need to have Plan templates to use in Teams so that each project starts with the same buckets and tasks.
Currently copying a plan in teams links the new and template plan together so that changing the new plan assignments, dates or status changes the same in the template. If the new plan is deleted it then also deletes the template plan. It seems to be a "mirror" rather than a copy even though the new plan name can be changed. There needs to be no link between them after the copy.

We’d love to hear more about the following:
    1. When would you delete or archive a plan?
    2. How long would you like it to be accessible?

Feel free to include any specific scenarios where archiving a plan would be useful.

We appreciate your feedback and look forward to reading through your comments!

    Cheers,
    The Planner Team

For plans created in Teams we should be able to archive plans and have them accessible from an "Archived" tab rather than staying in the "Conversations/Files/Wiki/..." tabs of the Team Channel the plan was created in.

This would also require the ability to assign non-working days to a standard calendar which planner uses to "skip". Sometimes tasks are required to be done over weekends, other times not.

Showing completed tasks in the schedule view also serves to highlight how far ahead tasks were completed and why some tasks may be behind if future planned tasks were completed first

Also we need to have this ability when a plan is created within Teams

This would be very useful for upper management to be able to view plan progress while not specifically needing the requirement to be assigned to any tasks as a team member

Just like completed tasks in each bucket compress into a single line with an arrow to expand the list down the screen under the bucket heading, so too could we have any buckets with all tasks completed be compressed into a completed header with an expanding arrow to open out the bucket header list across the screen.

    Thanks for sharing your feedback.

We would like to hear more about how you would utilize this view. If you have a particular scenario or set of teammates for which you’d like to view tasks for, please share below!

    Cheers,
    The Planner Team

Without the ability to archive completed plans currently, being able to see atleast all plans a person has assigned tasks in would greatly aid in worklooad scheduling and tracking. From this list it could then be simple to drill-down to see the actual tasks within a plan a person is working on instead of having to open many, many completed plans to find the current plans someone has tasks actually assigned.
