Thanks for the feedback on the Filter menu and cross-plan search functionality!
Next we’d like to pursue widening the Filter metadata to include other fields like assignee, description, and checklists. We’re also working with a search team in Office to align with UX and functionality across Office 365.
This work hasn’t been scheduled yet, but we will update this thread as soon as it is.
Please continue to share details on the filter and search functionality you’d like to see in Planner!
Thanks,
The Planner TeamPetr Musil supported this idea ·

As an update, our colleagues in To-Do have delivered the ability to create tasks directly from Outlook.com!
To-Do has rolled out the Tasks Pane for Outlook.com’s Mail & Calendar, and is also the new Tasks for Outlook.com! With Planner’s & To-Do’s integration, we hope that To-Do will become a central hub for all of your personal tasks, and that switching to Planner to collaborate with others is seamless!
Here’s more information on the To-Do’s task experience within Outlook: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/using-microsoft-to-do-with-outlook-com-416865a1-0c4d-4e69-af6f-f98ffce3747c

I vote for this too. As a workaround, if you log in from a web browser (Chrome, actually :) and not from the app itself, it allows you to select a file from your mobile.

Trello can work offline.
My workaround: I have configured Flow to use Trello >>> Planner template for a pre-defined Trello board/list. When offline, I use Trello to create a new task in that special board/list. Once I become online again, Trello syncs the mobile version with the cloud, creating a new task there, which also triggers the Trello >>> Planner Flow, and ultimately generates a Planner task

RE: Planner Team's comment on "To-Do’s task experience" - sorry, how is that possibly relevant to this thread?
Especially when the link in your post says really horrible things, like: "Microsoft To-Do does not currently support ... the start and end dates, task status, task completion percentage, priority levels, task work hours, task colors, option to format text in notes, or file attachments", and "...currently only available for users logging in with a personal Microsoft account".
One would think your colleagues from "To-Do" team have very little to boast about, really.
But do you have any news on the "Convert to Task Planner button for emails" feature that this thread is about?
