We are using the Planner Webpart but a key need is the "Schedule" or a Calendar view of our Plans that we can easily share with others. Integration with Sharepoint tasks/task lists would at least allow us to use that for the Calendar view

    Hi everyone,

We recently announced and rolled out the new Microsoft Project, which was designed specifically to help teams collaborate on projects more efficiently and achieve more together. It was designed to be simple and powerful, so that anyone can get started quickly and take control of any project – regardless of its size – right away.

We’ve brought the Planner board view to the new Project! Along with this, you can see your tasks on a Timeline view, and a Grid view, both requested from many of our Planner users.

With this, we also rolled out a new subscription plan called “Project Plan 1” that allows you to start quickly and manage projects easily via the web browser.

Thanks everyone for your patience, I encourage you to check out the new Project, and even start a trial – see the attached GIF

We are having an issue where tasks have disappeared so this feature would help us determine if that's human error

Our ask is the ability to have a master task with a long timeline (a month or more), and subtasks tied to that main task, which can be assigned to different team members with their own due dates. So the master task could be a publication with a due date of the final publication date -- but sub tasks could be writing a draft, revisions, approvals, etc. each with their own due dates and assignees -- and more importantly, the notifications and reminders could be tied to those subtasks and not only for the final completion date of the entire project.

Thanks for the feedback on the Filter menu and cross-plan search functionality!

Next we’d like to pursue widening the Filter metadata to include other fields like assignee, description, and checklists. We’re also working with a search team in Office to align with UX and functionality across Office 365.

This work hasn’t been scheduled yet, but we will update this thread as soon as it is.

Please continue to share details on the filter and search functionality you’d like to see in Planner!

    Thanks,
    The Planner Team

Thank you for your feedback! We’ve improved the ‘Copy task’ dialogue so you can chose a different plan to send a copy of a task to! We’ll be exploring and expanding the ways in which you and your team can organize work in Planner, and hope this will be a helpful step forward.

Here’s an article to learn more about this feature: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=872349

Let us know what you think below! Thanks again for taking the time to vote for this idea.

    Cheers,

    The Planner Team

Agree, also separate due dates for those checklist items (so the entire project can have one due date but the subtasks can have different milestone dates)

    Hello!

We’ve just released our integration with To-Do as a first step towards a larger task coherence initiative.

Today, you can view and edit Planner tasks you’ve been assigned in To-Do’s new Assigned to me list. This is available on to-do.office.com and To-Do’s Windows, Android, and iOS apps.

Here are more details on this integration: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Planner-Blog/Planner-and-To-Do-integration-bringing-you-a-more-cohesive-task/ba-p/553485

Our work in this area is not done, and we’re relying on you to help us decide what’s next, please keep the suggestions coming!

    Cheers,
    The Planner Team
