I give up. Quire allows sorting tasks by assignee so we can review priorities in a team meeting. It's as easy to use as Planner. We're switching.

As a manager, I would really like to be able to see not just my task list, but the task lists of the people in my group. It would be great if they were in the same Kanban (To Do, Doing, Done) format as My Tasks.

This is great for new projects. Is there a way to move existing projects into other groups?

I'm a manager. My group has 24 projects right now. Yeah, that's a lot, which is why I need electronic help! In addition to having multiple plans per group, it would be nice to be able to sort them the way I can sort tasks (Kanban-style). I'd like labels I can use for priority and buckets I can use for stage in the pipeline.

Our projects go through the following stages:
    1. Qualification: After a customer initially contacts us, we work with them to understand their needs and develop a specification for the product.
    2. Estimation: Based on the specification, we rough out a design and develop a cost estimate for the customer.
    3. Design: After we receive the PO from the customer, we do the detailed design of all of the parts of the product and generate the documentation for manufacturing
    4. Manufacturing: We make all of the required parts
    5. Assembly & Test: We assemble the parts and test subassemblies and the final product
    6. Delivery: We package, ship and invoice for the product.

Each of these stages require several tasks, and we normally have multiple projects in the works at any given time. We've tried using a bucket for each project and a label for each stage, but then we have to preface each task name with the project name so we don't have multiple "design parts" tasks, which is way too easy to forget. If I could sort projects (Groups) by stage, similar to buckets, it would help immensely.

    Hi everyone,

Thank you for your patience. We have updated our Copy Plan experience – please try it out today!

This improvement will include the ability to choose an existing group or team to copy the plan into (or choose to create a new group). You’ll also be able to customize what gets copied over. Attachments can only be copied over into existing groups.

You can learn more here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/planner-blog/expanding-the-copy-plan-and-filtering-features-based-on-your/ba-p/1483491

Hello All! The priority feature is complete! Priority is rolled out to production across the Web and Teams. It’s also available in the mobile app an in the beta endpoint for the MS graph API. We’ve also updated the charts view to include a priority chart .

Please give it a try and let us know what you think! If there’s something you’d like us to improve upon, please find and vote on that suggestion or create a new one so we can prioritize accordingly.

for more info on the priority field, check out:

Even something as simple as allowing us to pick the color associated with a task would be helpful.
