Hi everyone,
Thank you for your patience. We have updated our Copy Plan experience – please try it out today!
This improvement will include the ability to choose an existing group or team to copy the plan into (or choose to create a new group). You’ll also be able to customize what gets copied over. Attachments can only be copied over into existing groups.
You can learn more here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/planner-blog/expanding-the-copy-plan-and-filtering-features-based-on-your/ba-p/1483491

Hi everyone,
We recently announced and rolled out the new Microsoft Project, which was designed specifically to help teams of all sizes collaborate on projects more efficiently and achieve more together. It was designed to be simple and powerful, so that anyone can get started quickly and take control of any project – regardless of its size – right away.
The new Microsoft Project has been redesigned. You can see your tasks on a Gantt chart (“Timeline”) view, a Board view (similar to Planner’s), and a Grid view, both requested from many of our Planner users. I encourage you to look at the links below and the attached GIF for a sneak peak.
With this, we also rolled out a new subscription plan called “Project Plan 1” that allows you to start quickly and manage projects easily via the web browser.

Thanks everyone…

Something that I have always found cumbersome about gant views is that when you get like five or more tasks in one lane it gets cluttered and unreadable. If you make some kind of cant view I would like to have the option to expand and contract tasks in a lane to show all or just group together in one as "multple tasks".

Yes, this is a very good feature and I wonder why it is not voted higher cause it is one of the things that grinds adoption to a halt in my organisation. Our users are very into Excel an a lot of plans are in various spread sheets. To manually enter in hundreds of activities is a strong deterrent for most of out users. They prefer to stick to Excel.
So I would love to see this get some attention.

Thanks for your feedback!
We’d like to add custom columns to Planner, but don’t have anything planned at this time. We’re working on three big initiatives that are landing later this year (stay tuned!) and will likely start work on recurring tasks soon after.
Please continue to vote as we utilize UserVoice heavily to order our product backlog and will adjust regularly if things change!
Thanks again for your patience and feedback,

We would like to hear more about how you would utilize this view. If you have a particular scenario or set of teammates for which you’d like to view tasks for, please share below!

I just added 14 buckets to a plan so this seems to have been solved or atleast increased to a higher value. How many buckets is it possible to have now?
Yes,it is very strange to have a chart view that display all data columns except this one.
