Thanks for the feedback! Near the top of the Planner Hub page in our iOS app, you’ll find the ability to search your plans by title. We’re also considering adding the ability to filter tasks on a plan board in our mobile apps, including filtering by keyword. Let us know what you think, we always appreciate it!

We’re in the process of finalizing designs for a Planner add-in for Outlook. From the add-in, users will be able to create tasks for Planner without having to leave their inbox. The email subject and body will autofill as the task title and description, respectively, and users will have the ability to set plan, bucket and assignees . We appreciate your feedback and patience and look forward to this first step in what we hope to be a greater integration with Outlook!

As an update, our colleagues in To-Do have delivered the ability to create tasks directly from Outlook.com!

To-Do has rolled out the Tasks Pane for Outlook.com’s Mail & Calendar, and is also the new Tasks for Outlook.com! With Planner’s & To-Do’s integration, we hope that To-Do will become a central hub for all of your personal tasks, and that switching to Planner to collaborate with others is seamless!

Here’s more information on the To-Do’s task experience within Outlook: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/using-microsoft-to-do-with-outlook-com-416865a1-0c4d-4e69-af6f-f98ffce3747c

It would be great if the sub-task could have its own fields, e.g. due date, assigned to, time to completion (hours), etc.

Thank you for your interest and feedback!

Reading the comments on this thread, they seem to follow two different asks. If you’re suggesting dependency between tasks (ie. task A must be completed before task B), please visit this thread: https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525/suggestions/13976094

If you’d like to suggest improvements to our existing checklist functionality, please share more with us in a comment below!

    Thanks,

    The Planner Team

    Hello all,

As an update, we’ve paused work on this item to pursue wrapping up work on a few other high priority asks.

We appreciate your patience and feedback on this, and hope to resume work on this soon. Please keep voting and letting us know that you’d like to see in a Planner UWP app!

    Cheers,

    The Planner Team

Thank you for your votes and feedback!

We’re looking to understand more about this ask, specifically:
How many custom fields would you use?
What kind of fields would they consist of?
Which (or how many) Plans would you add the same custom fields to?
And any other information about how custom fields would work within your current Planner workflow!

This would be a great feature in the software which would make it far more flexible.
