Hi everyone!
I’d like to better understand the ask for creating plans from Microsoft Flow. What scenarios/flows would you create with this action?
Thank you!

Hi everyone,
We recently announced and rolled out the new Microsoft Project, which was designed specifically to help teams of all sizes collaborate on projects more efficiently and achieve more together. It was designed to be simple and powerful, so that anyone can get started quickly and take control of any project – regardless of its size – right away.
The new Microsoft Project has been redesigned. You can see your tasks on a Gantt chart (“Timeline”) view, a Board view (similar to Planner’s), and a Grid view, both requested from many of our Planner users. I encourage you to look at the links below and the attached GIF for a sneak peak.
With this, we also rolled out a new subscription plan called “Project Plan 1” that allows you to start quickly and manage projects easily via the web browser.

Thanks everyone…

This whole thread is about MS Planner, so why do we care about what you have done to Microsoft Project? Provide something useful for a change to address MASSIVE gaps in your products.

Hello! Since this is one of our top asks from users (and has been for quite a while), we wanted to provide a quick update here. As mentioned in our last update, our team has been heads down shipping some recent integrations, such as the Tasks app in teams and Tasks in Docs (both of which have initial versions rolling out now!).
Recurring tasks (and the other top UserVoice asks) are still high on our backlog. I’ll provide updates here as this feature gets closer to being shipped! We also may use this forum to reach out to you, our engaged users, with design questions we have—so stay tuned if you’d like to help us bring you the best version of recurring tasks!
In the meantime, it’s great to see so much active engagement here. We continue to iterate on our initial designs as we get more feedback from users,…

Any updates on this please? Otherwise its kind of redundant and I cant offer to my clients. You already had the requirements in Outlook recurring tasks, this shouldnt be a difficult implementation!
An error occurred while saving the comment WebSolprov commented
Why hasnt this been done? The functionality already exists in Tasks / Outlook etc so its not like its reinventing the wheel here.
An error occurred while saving the comment WebSolprov commented
You need to integrate the recurring task features from To-Do into Planner; just like you can add To-Do fields from sharepoint lists into custom lists. Inn actual fact, you should look to just merge the feature sets of Planner and To-Do together and then phase one of them out. The money you would save on maintaining two codebases would pay for the additional features that we are all screaming out for .. enough excuses please.

As an update, our colleagues in To-Do have delivered the ability to create tasks directly from Outlook.com!
To-Do has rolled out the Tasks Pane for Outlook.com’s Mail & Calendar, and is also the new Tasks for Outlook.com! With Planner’s & To-Do’s integration, we hope that To-Do will become a central hub for all of your personal tasks, and that switching to Planner to collaborate with others is seamless!

!! You can now create a new plan within an existing group!!
Once you open the “New Plan” dialog just select the link to add to an existing group. Your new plan will then be added to that group, leveraging the existing group infrastructure.

Why no furrther updates? you are not reinventing the wheel here
An error occurred while saving the comment WebSolprov commented
This is a definite must, as otherwise its so difficult to manage access to Planner unless you can add groups instead of individual members. This functionality exists elsewhere; stop trying to reinvent the wheel every time. You should have based this off of a Sharepoint derivative platform as a base framework then all of these ideas would already exist.

We’re in the process of finalizing designs for a Planner add-in for Outlook. From the add-in, users will be able to create tasks for Planner without having to leave their inbox. The email subject and body will autofill as the task title and description, respectively, and users will have the ability to set plan, bucket and assignees . We appreciate your feedback and patience and look forward to this first step in what we hope to be a greater integration with Outlook!

Hello All! The priority feature is complete! Priority is rolled out to production across the Web and Teams. It’s also available in the mobile app an in the beta endpoint for the MS graph API. We’ve also updated the charts view to include a priority chart .
Please give it a try and let us know what you think! If there’s something you’d like us to improve upon, please find and vote on that suggestion or create a new one so we can prioritize accordingly.
for more info on the priority field, check out:

Disliking an idea? Thats just idiotic; you can always set tasks using a number or some other order if you can specifiy custom field and the define it as Task Priority for example.

Thanks for your feedback!
We’d like to add custom columns to Planner, but don’t have anything planned at this time. We’re working on three big initiatives that are landing later this year (stay tuned!) and will likely start work on recurring tasks soon after.
Please continue to vote as we utilize UserVoice heavily to order our product backlog and will adjust regularly if things change!
Thanks again for your patience and feedback,

This would be much needed to bring MS Planner forward into more applicable project management tool; also to be able to add custom fields as you can do with Trello.

Thank you for your feedback! We’ve improved the ‘Copy task’ dialogue so you can chose a different plan to send a copy of a task to! We’ll be exploring and expanding the ways in which you and your team can organize work in Planner, and hope this will be a helpful step forward.
Here’s an article to learn more about this feature: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=872349
Let us know what you think below! Thanks again for taking the time to vote for this idea.
Cheers,
The Planner Team

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your patience. We have updated our Copy Plan experience – please try it out today!
This improvement will include the ability to choose an existing group or team to copy the plan into (or choose to create a new group). You’ll also be able to customize what gets copied over. Attachments can only be copied over into existing groups.

Hello! We wanted to provide an update to our status below. As we announced in our previous status update, our initial integration with To Do was our first step in a journey of bringing all your Microsoft Task Management services closer together, including Outlook and Planner. Through To Do, you can see your Planner tasks within Outlook on the Web.
However, the continuing feedback on this post makes it clear that there is a desire for more work to be done to improve this experience. We want to make sure this feedback and votes aren’t getting lost by being added to this existing post.
Instead, we’d like to make sure you have a forum to express these continuing pain points / desires, and a way to vote for which ones you’d like us to work on first (and how we should prioritize those asks against the many other great asks…

Yes definitely, +1 ... with MS Tasks and MS To-Do and MS Outlook and MS Planner there needs to be synchronisation as otherwise you are checking all over the place for items that you have to complete.
This needs to be done, and fast!
