Thanks for your feedback!
With due date options in the Filter menu, and the ability to group tasks by due date category, we’re hoping that this will help Planner users find and organize upcoming dates and deadlines.
We understand there is still an ask for sorting tasks within an existing grouping, please continue to use this thread to share feedback on this.
Cheers,
The Planner Team

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your patience! Since our last update, we’ve released a few features to address the feedback around notifications.
We’ve heard loud and clear that comment notification emails should go to only users who are relevant to a given task. Therefore, we’re excited to announce we’ve updated the integration between Planner and Groups so that users following the group associated to the Planner plan will no longer receive a group email in their personal inbox when comments are made for tasks they have never commented on before. Group emails notifications for all task comments in a plan are still sent to the group mailbox. We believe this behavior should ensure comment notification emails are scoped to a more relevant audience of those who have previously commented on the task instead of being sent to all members of the plan.
Additionally, we’ve added more context to the comment notifications…

Thank you for your feedback! We’ve improved the ‘Copy task’ dialogue so you can chose a different plan to send a copy of a task to! We’ll be exploring and expanding the ways in which you and your team can organize work in Planner, and hope this will be a helpful step forward.
Here’s an article to learn more about this feature: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=872349
Let us know what you think below! Thanks again for taking the time to vote for this idea.

Tested this overnight and it's working fine. Thank you so much for releasing.
Would like localisation of the dates in the email because at the moment it's in MM/DD/YY format. This will cause confusion for my UK users.
Also it would be good to be able to set the frequency of notification emails to e.g. once a week rather than once a day, I will post this as a suggestionAn error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commented
Please can we have an estimated release date. I love planner and am holding back a roll out across our organisation until this feature is implemented. Also agree with David below about needing localisation of dates to UK format please

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your patience. We have updated our Copy Plan experience – please try it out today!
This improvement will include the ability to choose an existing group or team to copy the plan into (or choose to create a new group). You’ll also be able to customize what gets copied over. Attachments can only be copied over into existing groups.
You can learn more here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/planner-blog/expanding-the-copy-plan-and-filtering-features-based-on-your/ba-p/1483491

As an update, since we’ve still been seeing issues around date formatting, so we’re pursuing another fix that should help: If you’re using Planner within Teams, we will default to using the same language/local as Teams.
If you’re seeing this issue persist outside of Teams and your language/locale is set properly for your Office account, please let us know in the comments below!
Thanks,
