Hi everyone,
We recently announced and rolled out the new Microsoft Project, which was designed specifically to help teams of all sizes collaborate on projects more efficiently and achieve more together. It was designed to be simple and powerful, so that anyone can get started quickly and take control of any project – regardless of its size – right away.
The new Microsoft Project has been redesigned. You can see your tasks on a Gantt chart (“Timeline”) view, a Board view (similar to Planner’s), and a Grid view, both requested from many of our Planner users. I encourage you to look at the links below and the attached GIF for a sneak peak.
With this, we also rolled out a new subscription plan called “Project Plan 1” that allows you to start quickly and manage projects easily via the web browser.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for your patience! Since our last update, we’ve released a few features to address the feedback around notifications.
We’ve heard loud and clear that comment notification emails should go to only users who are relevant to a given task. Therefore, we’re excited to announce we’ve updated the integration between Planner and Groups so that users following the group associated to the Planner plan will no longer receive a group email in their personal inbox when comments are made for tasks they have never commented on before. Group emails notifications for all task comments in a plan are still sent to the group mailbox. We believe this behavior should ensure comment notification emails are scoped to a more relevant audience of those who have previously commented on the task instead of being sent to all members of the plan.
Additionally, we’ve added more context to the comment notifications…

Hello!
We’ve just released our integration with To-Do as a first step towards a larger task coherence initiative.
Today, you can view and edit Planner tasks you’ve been assigned in To-Do’s new Assigned to me list. This is available on to-do.office.com and To-Do’s Windows, Android, and iOS apps.
Here are more details on this integration: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Planner-Blog/Planner-and-To-Do-integration-bringing-you-a-more-cohesive-task/ba-p/553485
Our work in this area is not done, and we’re relying on you to help us decide what’s next, please keep the suggestions coming!
Cheers,
The Planner TeamJakub Havel supported this idea ·

Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for your feedback and sharing how you use labels. We’ve been working on improving our labels experience, and will continue to do so. With that, we are working on increasing the number of labels that you can use in Planner!

As for task dependency it would be useful to integrate it to checklists – right now the checklist feature is not that useful without notifications.
If checklists in tasks would notify workers and get individual deadlines, that'd be awesome, because the task itself would express the task definition and process including deadline (of the whole task) and checklist items would express individual steps. Maybe it would be awesome to add possibility to assign cheklist item to certain person?
So in the end it would be more than great to transform checklists into sub-tasks with its own people assigned, deadline set and notifications available 😊.explanation of notifications:
– notify person assigned to following sub-task, that he/she can start working on it
– notify "everyone" about progress on the taskJakub Havel supported this idea ·

Thank you for the feedback!
As an update, we’d like to pursue improvements to the checklist functionality in Planner, but don’t have any near-term plans.
If you’d like to vote on task dependencies/linking/referencing, please head over here: https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525/suggestions/13976094
We will keep you updated when there are any changes. Keep the votes coming and comments coming!
Thanks,

Thanks for all the feedback!
In the latest update of our iOS app, we’ve added the ability to access all your plans from Teams within the Planner app. On the Planner hub, you’ll see plans from Teams included within the Recent plans and All plans sections, as well as their associated team and channel information. You can favorite a plan for easy access and then work on it in Planner.
