Hi everyone,
We recently announced and rolled out the new Microsoft Project, which was designed specifically to help teams of all sizes collaborate on projects more efficiently and achieve more together. It was designed to be simple and powerful, so that anyone can get started quickly and take control of any project – regardless of its size – right away.
The new Microsoft Project has been redesigned. You can see your tasks on a Gantt chart (“Timeline”) view, a Board view (similar to Planner’s), and a Grid view, both requested from many of our Planner users. I encourage you to look at the links below and the attached GIF for a sneak peak.
With this, we also rolled out a new subscription plan called “Project Plan 1” that allows you to start quickly and manage projects easily via the web browser.

Yes. Gantt charts are a entrenched staple of project management. So many business executives understand them. The fact that Planner can't generate them weakens Planner as a communication tool with my customers.
If I could ask for just two features it would be task dependencies and Gantt charts.
Must haves if I'm going to make Planner competitive in project management. -

We’d love to hear more about the following:
1. When would you delete or archive a plan?
2. How long would you like it to be accessible?Feel free to include any specific scenarios where archiving a plan would be useful.
We appreciate your feedback and look forward to reading through your comments!
Cheers,

Yes! This has been mentioned by others. Gotta be part of any productive project management life cycle. Gotta be able to close out a plan when complete. And I don't want to simply delete it as it will contain all kinds of good historical references.

Yes! This is necessary to use Planner more than just a few months. After a few successful Planner managed projects, hub gets to crowded to be useful. Must be able to close out a project without deleting it.

Yes! Tasks often have dependencies that necessitate they be completed in a certain order. If Planner can't help enforce the order, then the PM is burdened with manually tracking the dependencies. And that reduces the value of Planner as a project management platform.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your patience. We have updated our Copy Plan experience – please try it out today!
This improvement will include the ability to choose an existing group or team to copy the plan into (or choose to create a new group). You’ll also be able to customize what gets copied over. Attachments can only be copied over into existing groups.

Yes! I need an executive level view of the Planner hub. We have to manually compile for executive level status updates.
Can this be done the API?
