    Any conclusions on this matter? I was saying the same in another thread. I REALLY want to love MS Planner as our organisation already uses MS Teams but, this email notification issue is a complete NONSENSE!!! This should have been the FIRST feature rolled out.
    How come I assign someone with a task, and there is no option to send automatic emails to that person to alert there is a new task!???
    Such a deal breaker.

    Please Microsoft; WORK YOUR MAGIC! It shouldn`t be that hard really:
    1) If you assign a task to someone; that someone gets an alert email (EMAIL AND NOTIFICATION)
    2) Give options to send Email alerts when tasks are close to its due date (X days/ X weeks/ X hours before, etc);
    3) Seamless integration and sync with MS Teams

    Thank you!

    I cant believe that this is feature is so LOW voted.
    When you Assign a task to someone, this person MUST get an email telling her that there is a task to be done! Not a note, that is in a small part of outlook where no one ever looks!

    I`m trying to roll out MS PLanner and MS Teams in my company, but the lack of this feature is just hard to believe! It makes the entire thing completely useless!

    Come on Microsoft Planner Team!!! Do something about it!

    We DONT get notification when there is a message in the groups tab with outlook. If I create a TASK to some of my team workers, I need them to be notified ( Email + Pop ups + Push, whatever).

    Same problem here. I REALLY want to give MS Planner a go in our organization but Microsoft makes this SO HARD!!!!

    The terrible integration and sync + the complete LACK of email notifications ( Im talking about EMAIL notification to when someone assigns a task to you, or when a task is due, etc) makes this initiative completely USELESS to a project manager.
