Hello all,
As an update, we’ve paused work on this item to pursue wrapping up work on a few other high priority asks.
We appreciate your patience and feedback on this, and hope to resume work on this soon. Please keep voting and letting us know that you’d like to see in a Planner UWP app!
Cheers,
The Planner Team

Hi everyone!
Thank you so much for your feedback and sharing how you use labels. We’ve been working on improving our labels experience, and will continue to do so. With that, we are working on increasing the number of labels that you can use in Planner!

Hello! Since this is one of our top asks from users (and has been for quite a while), we wanted to provide a quick update here. As mentioned in our last update, our team has been heads down shipping some recent integrations, such as the Tasks app in teams and Tasks in Docs (both of which have initial versions rolling out now!).
Recurring tasks (and the other top UserVoice asks) are still high on our backlog. I’ll provide updates here as this feature gets closer to being shipped! We also may use this forum to reach out to you, our engaged users, with design questions we have—so stay tuned if you’d like to help us bring you the best version of recurring tasks!
In the meantime, it’s great to see so much active engagement here. We continue to iterate on our initial designs as we get more feedback from users,…

In a project, be it big or small, I have recurring tasks such as weekly status report, monthly budget controlling, capacity planning, weekly update of project plan, whatever.... it is something not only to be produced one time and have it finished, no, it needs to be done regularly all over the project timeline.
Therefore, it would be nice to be able to create such tasks, to schedule them so that they are moved between the differnt buckets. Once they are finished, they start again, this time with a new iteration.

We don’t have any major updates to share at this time – Export to excel is still our first step towards delivering better reporting capabilities in Planner. You can find updates and discussion on this suggestion here:

Support the idea for a Power BI connector and then we are able to define our own reporting easily. That is the best way to help us.

Thanks for the feedback! Near the top of the Planner Hub page in our iOS app, you’ll find the ability to search your plans by title. We’re also considering adding the ability to filter tasks on a plan board in our mobile apps, including filtering by keyword. Let us know what you think, we always appreciate it!

As an update, since we’ve still been seeing issues around date formatting, so we’re pursuing another fix that should help: If you’re using Planner within Teams, we will default to using the same language/local as Teams.
If you’re seeing this issue persist outside of Teams and your language/locale is set properly for your Office account, please let us know in the comments below!
Thanks,

Good decision, but too late. Due to the slow development speed, some severe limitations and missing Basic functionality, I decided to switch to a competitive product - MeisterPlan.
This has a been a good decision. MeisterPlan started development two years ago (approximately at the same time when Microsoft started the Planner development) but it is far more sophisticated, feature complete, stable and - most importantly - client Independent. I will stay with MeisterPlan therefore. An error occurred while saving the comment J.Schirra commented
I guess, MS will not support this because iPad competes with the surface tablet. Using the existing iPhone Planner app on the iPad is truly terrible and I believe that is an intentional decision of MS.
Since there is no feedback from MS regarding this request, I decided to return to Trello in critical areas/projects. My regular use case is using a Kanban board on a Tablett and not on a phone.
Since the browser support for Planner on iPad is also very weak, I have no other choice than to skip Planner.J.Schirra supported this idea ·

Switch to one of the many existing alternatives of Planner. The majority of them is more mature, offers at least the most important features which each Kanban board Software should offer at a minimum. I switched to Meisterplan (a german Software Company with a subsidiary in San Francisco) around two weeks ago and I am still quite happy with it. It is similar mature and very good like Trello, but offers some additional very good features like timetracking and much more. The few things which I am currently missing in this product are by far not so painfully missed like many of the basic features which Planner is currently not offering (searching, filters, a native tablet app, more than just 8 buckets and so on).
Forget MS Planner. I have deeply and carefully investigated MS Planner for the last 5 months. I tried to work with it. The list of advantages compared with other products has exactly two items, the list of disadvantages has around 17 items.
I do not see any ongoing activities in the development of Planner. They seem to have stopped it. This product is plain dead. 2,5 years of development time and the product is still very basic and buggy. Meisterplan started in 2015. If you see what this product already offers today, then you come to the conclusion that Microsoft should be ashamed given the fact that MS is a global corporation with a very big development staff and Meisterplan a very small start up company having around 50 employees.

We’ve just released a Filter menu in Planner where you can filter tasks by due date, label, or assignee. You can also enter a keyword to search for a task by it’s title!
We value your suggestions and comments highly – thank you for contributing to this feature.

Nearly 2 years after the last update there is still no UWP app for planner. I think we can forget it. It would be great if you were at least so honest to officially update the status of this request and close it for all times.
