Thanks for your feedback!
With due date options in the Filter menu, and the ability to group tasks by due date category, we’re hoping that this will help Planner users find and organize upcoming dates and deadlines.
We understand there is still an ask for sorting tasks within an existing grouping, please continue to use this thread to share feedback on this.
Cheers,
The Planner Team

Yes - we also have the problem where lots of people are assigned to a task/card and therefore no one takes ownership/responsibility. All of the people need to contribute and/or have an eye on progress of the task be need to be able to identify a single person responsible for updating the card and taking ownership of the task

I would like to be able to distinguish between the 'owner' (person responsible) for a card/task and other people who are supporting or contributing to the task but are not responsible for keeping the task on track (or providing updates into the card)
Absolutely still need the sort a bucket by due date feature. Trello is way ahead of you guys on this and I feel like I'm about to start pushing to be allowed to keep using Trello at work - being asked to change from Trello to MS planner has been an exercise in frustration so far. I realise you are trying to be all things to all people and create and ecosystem for all productivity/organisation tools that means people don't have to use the myriad of other apps but is that really working for apple/i-everything at the moment? If that's really the strategy you want to pursue then please give it the development budget to match
