With due date options in the Filter menu, and the ability to group tasks by due date category, we’re hoping that this will help Planner users find and organize upcoming dates and deadlines.
We understand there is still an ask for sorting tasks within an existing grouping, please continue to use this thread to share feedback on this.

testing out with tasks in Teams hierarchy and than this becomes even more important. If i now publish a new list the old list (incomplete will be at the bottom ) this means a higher chance of people missing the stuff that needs to be done now. and we would expect a high number of tasks to be published.
You can now choose up to 25 colored labels per task in Planner and Planner tasks in Tasks in Teams. More labels allows for greater flexibility when organizing tasks. Use labels to flag risks, signal delays, help fine tune task prioritization, clarify accountabilities, or categorize tasks around a theme spanning multiple buckets. Anything you can think of that requires color-coding and tagging tasks, labels can help.
More labels has been a top customer ask and we’re happy to make it available now to all organizations. Try it out in the mobile and web/desktop versions of Planner and Tasks in Teams.
