    I have the same need. I am an estate lawyer with a paralegal. Using Matter 365, I create a group for each matter. I have about 40 open right now. That will probably grow to 50. I assign my paralegal the task of drafting documents after each matter/group is created. I need to be able to see how many uncompleted tasks she has and which ones are behind without having to open each of the 40 to 50 matters.

    With due date options in the Filter menu, and the ability to group tasks by due date category, we’re hoping that this will help Planner users find and organize upcoming dates and deadlines.

    We understand there is still an ask for sorting tasks within an existing grouping, please continue to use this thread to share feedback on this.

    As an update, our colleagues in To-Do have delivered the ability to create tasks directly from Outlook.com!

    To-Do has rolled out the Tasks Pane for Outlook.com’s Mail & Calendar, and is also the new Tasks for Outlook.com! With Planner’s & To-Do’s integration, we hope that To-Do will become a central hub for all of your personal tasks, and that switching to Planner to collaborate with others is seamless!

    Hello!

    We’ve just released our integration with To-Do as a first step towards a larger task coherence initiative.

    Why To-Do and not Outlook tasks?
    We are integrating with To-Do because Outlook tasks is being replaced with the To-Do app. This experience has already shipped for Outlook Web users, and the To-Do team is working on bringing this to Outlook Desktop apps as well.

    Today, you can view and edit Planner tasks you’ve been assigned in To-Do’s new Assigned to me list. This is available on to-do.office.com and To-Do’s Windows, Android, and iOS apps.

    Yes, please. Also, in the documentation, please note what doesn't work in a browser. It's very frustrating to read how to do something, have it not work, and not know if in doing it wrong or if it's the browser.

    Thank you for your feedback on recurring tasks.

    We’ve completed our initial designs (thanks a lot to your scenarios/details!) and are waiting for this to move it’s way up our backlog. We should have a scheduling update in November when work on three BIG initiatives wraps up. Stay tuned!

    Thanks for the feedback on the Filter menu and cross-plan search functionality!

    Next we’d like to pursue widening the Filter metadata to include other fields like assignee, description, and checklists. We’re also working with a search team in Office to align with UX and functionality across Office 365.

    This work hasn’t been scheduled yet, but we will update this thread as soon as it is.

    Please continue to share details on the filter and search functionality you’d like to see in Planner!

    Thank you for your feedback! We’ve improved the ‘Copy task’ dialogue so you can chose a different plan to send a copy of a task to! We’ll be exploring and expanding the ways in which you and your team can organize work in Planner, and hope this will be a helpful step forward.
