Checklists don't satisfy the requirement. If I have a task assigned to multiple people but that can only be considered complete when everyone has completed their part, I don't want any individual to have the power to mark the task as a whole complete whilst others remain outstanding. That's what subtasks are for. Fairly basic requirement and one I would suggest would bring far more benefit than some of the things you've delivered recently
