Hi Planner team, looks like the scrolling on Mac in Safari and Chrome is fixed! Great work, thank you.

I did notice that the colored labels however do not seem to scroll. They are stuck in their original position - minor, but still visible.

MS Planner app on a Mac does not render a long list of projects correctly in Safari. If there are more tasks than the screen can show, there is no scroll bar to see more of the tasks. In other words, you can't scroll down to see a long list of tasks. This functionality on a Mac in Google Chrome works perfectly fine.

Agreed, having the same issues on OS X for both browsers. We use a lot of buckets, and I can only ever see a handful of them. Seems like there should be an easy fix for this.

This is happening to many of us as well. It's neither frequent nor predictable, but it's frustrating when we've crafted the perfect description, either hit the "X" or clicked of the card only to see the description is not saved. This forces us to use Notepad or other text editor to create the text and copy and paste into Planner, which is far from ideal. I'd rather be able to trust that everything is being saved seamlessly in the background using the power of the Cloud. Would be great to see a fix for this - it will increase our level of trust that data isn't being lost.

Thanks for your feedback. We now set posting Task Activity (Task Assign and Complete) to the Group Conversation to Off By Default. Plan/Group owners can turn this setting on/off in the “Edit Plan” dialog.

Thanks for the feedback on the Filter menu and cross-plan search functionality!

Next we’d like to pursue widening the Filter metadata to include other fields like assignee, description, and checklists. We’re also working with a search team in Office to align with UX and functionality across Office 365.

This work hasn’t been scheduled yet, but we will update this thread as soon as it is.

Please continue to share details on the filter and search functionality you’d like to see in Planner!

    Thanks,
    The Planner Team

Agreed, search would be fantastic. I think there should be two searches: 1) to search across all Plans and 2) search within active / currently viewing Plan.

    Thanks for your feedback!

With due date options in the Filter menu, and the ability to group tasks by due date category, we’re hoping that this will help Planner users find and organize upcoming dates and deadlines.

We understand there is still an ask for sorting tasks within an existing grouping, please continue to use this thread to share feedback on this.

    Cheers,

    The Planner Team

    Hi everyone,

Thank you for your patience. We have updated our Copy Plan experience – please try it out today!

This improvement will include the ability to choose an existing group or team to copy the plan into (or choose to create a new group). You’ll also be able to customize what gets copied over. Attachments can only be copied over into existing groups.

You can learn more here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/planner-blog/expanding-the-copy-plan-and-filtering-features-based-on-your/ba-p/1483491

I would also add that it would be nice to have a feature to archive completed tasks. At some point, the number of completed tasks will dwarf the number of in progress tasks. Archiving would be a great feature to use say once a month or so. Then, allow a view of all the archive tasks so you can report on the entire year of work.

    Thanks for your feedback!

We’d like to add custom columns to Planner, but don’t have anything planned at this time. We’re working on three big initiatives that are landing later this year (stay tuned!) and will likely start work on recurring tasks soon after.

Please continue to vote as we utilize UserVoice heavily to order our product backlog and will adjust regularly if things change!

Thanks again for your patience and feedback,
    The Planner Team

We’ve just released a Filter menu in Planner where you can filter tasks by due date, label, or assignee. You can also enter a keyword to search for a task by it’s title!

We value your suggestions and comments highly – thank you for contributing to this feature.

Let us know what you think!
To send us a message, open the Office Help menu (question mark icon in right corner of Planner or Office 365 menu) and select “Feedback”. Include the word “Planner” and it’ll make it’s way to us.
    OR
To share your thoughts with the Planner community, include #MicrosoftPlanner in a Tweet.

    Cheers,

    The Planner Team

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for your patience! Since our last update, we’ve released a few features to address the feedback around notifications.

We’ve heard loud and clear that comment notification emails should go to only users who are relevant to a given task. Therefore, we’re excited to announce we’ve updated the integration between Planner and Groups so that users following the group associated to the Planner plan will no longer receive a group email in their personal inbox when comments are made for tasks they have never commented on before. Group emails notifications for all task comments in a plan are still sent to the group mailbox. We believe this behavior should ensure comment notification emails are scoped to a more relevant audience of those who have previously commented on the task instead of being sent to all members of the plan.

Additionally, we’ve added more context to the comment notifications…

Hello! We wanted to provide an update to our status below. As we announced in our previous status update, our initial integration with To Do was our first step in a journey of bringing all your Microsoft Task Management services closer together, including Outlook and Planner. Through To Do, you can see your Planner tasks within Outlook on the Web.

However, the continuing feedback on this post makes it clear that there is a desire for more work to be done to improve this experience. We want to make sure this feedback and votes aren’t getting lost by being added to this existing post.

Instead, we’d like to make sure you have a forum to express these continuing pain points / desires, and a way to vote for which ones you’d like us to work on first (and how we should prioritize those asks against the many other great asks…
