    We’ve just released a Filter menu in Planner where you can filter tasks by due date, label, or assignee. You can also enter a keyword to search for a task by it’s title!

    We’d like to add custom columns to Planner, but don’t have anything planned at this time. We’re working on three big initiatives that are landing later this year (stay tuned!) and will likely start work on recurring tasks soon after.

    Please continue to vote as we utilize UserVoice heavily to order our product backlog and will adjust regularly if things change!

    This would help usability a lot. FFS I dont know why every multi-line text field is not expandable in the browser the way they are in Chrome. Makes for much more user friendly UI.

    Hi everyone,

    We recently announced and rolled out the new Microsoft Project, which was designed specifically to help teams collaborate on projects more efficiently and achieve more together. It was designed to be simple and powerful, so that anyone can get started quickly and take control of any project – regardless of its size – right away.

    We’ve brought the Planner board view to the new Project! Along with this, you can see your tasks on a Timeline view, and a Grid view, both requested from many of our Planner users.

    With this, we also rolled out a new subscription plan called “Project Plan 1” that allows you to start quickly and manage projects easily via the web browser.

    If the task due dates are entered in the group calendar (per existing uservoice request) this would at least in part be achieved.

    This is kinda essential (well it at least should have a setting that defaults to yes, but can be turned off). You are using a group to store the plan. The group has a calendar. The Plan tasks have due dates. Should be straight forward to include the due dates in the calendar?

    Hi everyone,

    Thanks for your patience! Since our last update, we’ve released a few features to address the feedback around notifications.

    We’ve heard loud and clear that comment notification emails should go to only users who are relevant to a given task. Therefore, we’re excited to announce we’ve updated the integration between Planner and Groups so that users following the group associated to the Planner plan will no longer receive a group email in their personal inbox when comments are made for tasks they have never commented on before. Group emails notifications for all task comments in a plan are still sent to the group mailbox. We believe this behavior should ensure comment notification emails are scoped to a more relevant audience of those who have previously commented on the task instead of being sent to all members of the plan.

    Additionally, we’ve added more context to the comment notifications…

    Thanks for all your feedback and for using Planner. We’re happy to announce that new Planner mobile apps are now available for Android phones and iPhone. This is just the start and we look forward to adding many additional features to these apps in the coming months.     Hello! We wanted to provide an update to our status below. As we announced in our previous status update, our initial integration with To Do was our first step in a journey of bringing all your Microsoft Task Management services closer together, including Outlook and Planner. Through To Do, you can see your Planner tasks within Outlook on the Web.

    However, the continuing feedback on this post makes it clear that there is a desire for more work to be done to improve this experience. We want to make sure this feedback and votes aren’t getting lost by being added to this existing post.

    Instead, we’d like to make sure you have a forum to express these continuing pain points / desires, and a way to vote for which ones you’d like us to work on first (and how we should prioritize those asks against the many other great asks…
