    Hi everyone,

    Thanks for your patience! Since our last update, we’ve released a few features to address the feedback around notifications.

    We’ve heard loud and clear that comment notification emails should go to only users who are relevant to a given task. Therefore, we’re excited to announce we’ve updated the integration between Planner and Groups so that users following the group associated to the Planner plan will no longer receive a group email in their personal inbox when comments are made for tasks they have never commented on before. Group emails notifications for all task comments in a plan are still sent to the group mailbox. We believe this behavior should ensure comment notification emails are scoped to a more relevant audience of those who have previously commented on the task instead of being sent to all members of the plan.

    Still can't even receive a simple email letting me know a task was assigned to me (without subscribing to all Group communications).

    Planner team, you say you've been working on notifications for over a year. A whole year! And I still don't have the option of receiving a simple email when I'm assigned a task. What's going on!?

    Hey Planner team, are you guys still alive? Have you been kidnapped and awaiting a ransom payment? Did you accidentally lock your keys in your car and been stranded at a dilapidated strip mall? You haven't given us an update on this since April 4th. That's 224 days since the last communication on when you are going to fix possibly the most vital aspect of any task planning software.

    Need to at least be able to receive an email when a task is assigned to me (and only when they're assigned to me, not assigned to anyone else in the group). An email is currently sent when a comment is made, so... what's the hold up?

    I asked support about this. They want me to turn on the fire hose of "subscribe to email updates". Nah, I'll pass.

    Was this issue ever fixed? I haven't (yet) experienced the problem, but... uhhh... this post hasn't been updated in over a year.

    A few Group/Plan owners are about ready to jump ship without this feature. No one remembers they have tasks assigned to them (or know they have tasks assigned to them, with the current state of email notifications...) and things go past their due date, projects are late, etc.

    Just heard back from Support on this. Their answer? It's "by design" because apparently all of us on UserVoice saying we were getting too many email notifications means "I don't want to know when a task is assigned to me". They suggested that I "Subscribe to email updates", so instead of receiving an email when a task is assigned to me, I receive an email for everything on every task.

    Good grief.

    Also having this problem. User receives email when task is commented on or closed, but not when it is created.     Thanks for all your feedback and for using Planner. We’re happy to announce that new Planner mobile apps are now available for Android phones and iPhone. This is just the start and we look forward to adding many additional features to these apps in the coming months. Please let us know what you’d like us to add by continuing to suggest and vote for features.

    Any ETA on when the apps will be rolling out? Getting asked by users all the time if there's an app.

    Thank you for your feedback! We’ve improved the ‘Copy task’ dialogue so you can chose a different plan to send a copy of a task to! We’ll be exploring and expanding the ways in which you and your team can organize work in Planner, and hope this will be a helpful step forward.

    Hello! Since this is one of our top asks from users (and has been for quite a while), we wanted to provide a quick update here. As mentioned in our last update, our team has been heads down shipping some recent integrations, such as the Tasks app in teams and Tasks in Docs (both of which have initial versions rolling out now!).

    Recurring tasks (and the other top UserVoice asks) are still high on our backlog. I’ll provide updates here as this feature gets closer to being shipped! We also may use this forum to reach out to you, our engaged users, with design questions we have—so stay tuned if you’d like to help us bring you the best version of recurring tasks!

    Hi everyone,

    Thank you for your patience. We have updated our Copy Plan experience – please try it out today!

    This improvement will include the ability to choose an existing group or team to copy the plan into (or choose to create a new group). You’ll also be able to customize what gets copied over. Attachments can only be copied over into existing groups.

    Hello! We wanted to provide an update to our status below. As we announced in our previous status update, our initial integration with To Do was our first step in a journey of bringing all your Microsoft Task Management services closer together, including Outlook and Planner. Through To Do, you can see your Planner tasks within Outlook on the Web.

    However, the continuing feedback on this post makes it clear that there is a desire for more work to be done to improve this experience. We want to make sure this feedback and votes aren’t getting lost by being added to this existing post.

    Instead, we’d like to make sure you have a forum to express these continuing pain points / desires, and a way to vote for which ones you’d like us to work on first (and how we should prioritize those asks against the many other great asks…
