    Beyond the iCalendar feed, we will continue to explore our options for adding tasks to Outlook Calendar automatically. We would love to hear more of your thoughts on the following:
    -What information from tasks would you like to carry over to Outlook Calendar?
    -How many different plans would you like to view on your Outlook Calendar?
    -Any specific scenarios or examples of how this would fit into your workflow

  2. Desktop Application

    Planner is a great application, but it definitely needs a desktop option, similar to Teams, for those of us at work. I love having Planner on my phone, but I would like to optimize planner via my desktop on M-F.

  3. Set default views

    Can we have the ability to setup default views? Would be nice to have the team to access the plan and go to a predefined view that is easier to consume. I have a project with multiple members and its hard to track each ones actions for them when the access the tools and it goes straight to board view. Can we have the ability to have them go to the charts view with predefined filters? That would help make it visual as chart is a dynamic dashboard that makes it easier to track each peoples tasks.

  4. Mark a task as a prereq or dependency on another task i.e. relationship

    Would be useful to set a task as requiring another task to complete before it can change state.

  5. Add more label colors

    I can only see 6 label colors and I need 10. Is there a way to create more label colors or some other way to color code categories?

    Thank you so much for your feedback and sharing how you use labels. We’ve been working on improving our labels experience, and will continue to do so. With that, we are working on increasing the number of labels and colors that you can use in Planner!

    Would like for Owner's in a Team, Group or Plan to be able to change user's/member's permissions within Planner so they can:
    1) Contribute
    2) Edit
    3) Read-Only
    4) No Access

  7. Copy a task

    Need the ability to copy a task, including the checklists and other items within the task. This would allow one to set up a template task, then create many tasks using that template task. This is a different request than the many copy suggestions that have been made already.

  9. Please link Tasks to Outlook (desktop) and also allow users of MS Project to open them in that.

    When a Task is assigned, have Planner sent the email alert in the form of an Outlook Task Request (when the request is Accepted, Deferred, etc.) and it sits in the User's Outlook Task list -- have the ability for them to update progress within MS Outlook (desktop) itself -- and let that update Planner.

    (Similar features were available as far back as Outlook 2000 without a centralised server system. Now we have cloud, please bring back these features without worrying about MS Project Server / Online sales -- instead, make those "enterprise level" services...)

  11. Create a Plan without creating an Office Group

    I like using the Planner as a personal tool to simply manage my day-to-day tasks - I like the kanban Trello-esque visual way of doing this. I don't, however, need the sharing capabilities and therefore all the associated 365 group stuff created in the background is superflous. It would be good to simply have an "individual" Plan and not have it create a 365 group. It just feels like there will be whole lot of chaos will ensue with people creating all sorts of groups like "My Plan", "Test Plan" etc.

    Hello!

    We’ve just released our integration with To-Do as a first step towards a larger task coherence initiative.

    Today, you can view and edit Planner tasks you’ve been assigned in To-Do’s new Assigned to me list. This is available on to-do.office.com and To-Do’s Windows, Android, and iOS apps.

  14. Ability to add email as Planner Task

    Many time - new action items come in from clients and consultants as emails. It would be great if from the web app I could convert an email to a planner task - carry the body of the email as a note - and automatiacally add any attachments as documents attached to the task.

    Look at Todoist for inspiration.

  15. Track percent complete for in progress tasks.

    Currently the only status on the task is in progress, not started, completed, or late (if you assign a due date). It would be nice to have a percent complete entry for in progress tasks. I nice slider bar visual would be a good way to set it. This way it also opens it up for integration with other systems (like Project Online) to rollup percent complete of the plan to a high level task in Project Online.

  16. Ability to filter cards by people, labels and tags

    Ability to filter the cards on a board by people, labels and tags to be able to view e.g. only the cards with a specific label or with a specific hashtag in the title

    We’ve just released a Filter menu in Planner where you can filter tasks by due date, label, or assignee. You can also enter a keyword to search for a task by it’s title!

  17. Copy Plan to Existing Group

    The ability to copy a Plan was recently released (see link below) but this only provides the ability to copy a plan to a new O365 Group. It does not provide the ability to copy a plan to an existing O365 Group. Most people do not want to create a new O365 Group for every Plan they have (Group sprawl). Please offer an option when copying a Plan to either target an existing Group or a new Group based on your preference.

    Hi everyone,

    We have updated our Copy Plan experience – please try it out today!

    This improvement includes the ability to choose an existing group or team to copy the plan into (or choose to create a new group). You’ll also be able to customize what gets copied over. Attachments can only be copied over into existing groups/teams.

  18. User-Defined Status/Stages

    Presently, to define status of a task, there are only three options available with the user, namely, Not Started, In Progress, Complete.

    Provision to user's to create more status-tags will help track the status.

    Now you can attach a file from desktop or from OneDrive. I would also like to attach an email to a task.
