Strange that this functionality is possible with Wrike. From Outlook (desktop version) I am able to create the task from an email, assign it to a project and person and edit the status and due date. Teams integration shouldn't be limited to Office 365.

I want to be able to add a calendar event to a plan, so I only have to write it once. This means Planner should also support TIMES, not just dates.

How this is in To-Do and not in Planner yet is beyond me. You have to go through Microsoft Flow to implement something similar right now, and that is not supported in companies like mine with heavy 2factor authentication and Conditional Access. Flow never gets the token needed to trigger the Planner events, so this would fix it for me.

This would be great help! Just like I am able to send an email from my Outlook to my OneNote, i want to be able to create a task directly from the email (while it will pick up the content from the email), or at least be able to send the email to Planner as task, so we avoid going extra steps (saving email, attaching to Planner task, etc.) Please consider this!

I would like to be able to designate an email in my inbox and turn it into a task that can be added to a planner board.

I would like to be able to designate an email in my inbox and turn it into a task that can be added to a planner board. I constantly receive requests/complaints from customers as well as other executives and I'd love the functionality to be able to click a ribbon button in outlook (similar to the "share to teams" button that MS Teams has made available) and be able to designate: which board it goes to, who it's assigned to and due date, with the body and metadata of the email in the description and all file attachments (including the *.msg file itself) added to the attachments in the planner task.

You can add your Planner calendar to Outlook calendar, but it's read only. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/see-your-planner-calendar-in-outlook-5dcccce5-2750-49b5-991b-1837379d96c7. I would like the ability to add tasks to Outlook and see/edit them in Planner, and vice versa.
