Allow Planner plans to be created in a Private Teams Channel

When we create a Private Channel in Teams, creating a Planner is not an option in the channel tab. This would be helpful: to allow this subgroup of people to work together on a confidential activity within a team.

Totally support this feature. I'm a project co-ordinator and each project needs its own Planner in each project channel.

Yes please...we just did a company wide rollout to Teams and we're using private channels within teams based on geographical location...problem is now that we can't use planner within those private channels like we can under the general team.

I am getting used to using Teams and it seems I keep running into the same obstacles that have been observed by many other people. I'm very curious why this was set up in a way to restrict the use for private channels. I ran into this issue when trying to debate between using a Chat vs. Team for a different set up. It doesn't seem that you can use Planner in some chat either - w/o using website workaround that seems a little silly
