Copy Plan to Existing Group
The ability to copy a Plan was recently released (see link below) but this only provides the ability to copy a plan to a new O365 Group. It does not provide the ability to copy a plan to an existing O365 Group. Most people do not want to create a new O365 Group for every Plan they have (Group sprawl). Please offer an option when copying a Plan to either target an existing Group or a new Group based on your preference.

Hi everyone,
We have updated our Copy Plan experience – please try it out today!
This improvement includes the ability to choose an existing group or team to copy the plan into (or choose to create a new group). You’ll also be able to customize what gets copied over. Attachments can only be copied over into existing groups/teams.
You can get more details here – https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/planner-blog/expanding-the-copy-plan-and-filtering-features-based-on-your/ba-p/1483491

Please make this happen. I cannot use Planner until I am able to copy to the same group!

MS Teams is so powerful with Planner tabs. It is such a shame that you can't copy plan to an existing group. So many work flows can be made into templates for planner and then be used by different MS Teams. We are trying to create this environment for sales opportunity collaboration. Our plans are too large to manually copy tasks.

Its curious to me why we can create a new plan in an existing group but we can't copy a plan into an existing group

Microsoft Planner was *almost* the product I was going to commit to for managing all of my team's projects. However, this lacking feature is truly inexplicable, and I cannot use this product at all until it is implemented Total non-starter.
Please implement ASAP.
Thank you.

Yep. Completely useless without the option to "paste" where we want it. Please address this.
Thanks

Please implement this ASAP. Seems pointless to copy a plan if you can not assign it to an existing group. We would like to create base planner templates for projects so no steps are missed

Totally agree that copying a plan is nearly useless without being able to use an existing group for the copy.

Need to be able to copy a Plan to a new/existing Teams channel. Basically a useless feature without being able to re-use a plan template for many, similar projects.

I am really surprised this is not a feature already. We will not be able to move forward with teams on a larger scale without this added feature.

Please add this asap. It takes way too long until we can use the new plan in the teams...

Can’t see the point of copying a plan if it can’t be used with existing group - or am I missing something. Please MS can you implement asap. Thanks

Critical feature to manage plans and add to the functionality. It doesn't help to have to create a new plan and manuially replicate it every time you need a copy of the plan. It creates sprawl and limits the use-cases for the application. Thanks!

Agree, I need this feature as a priority. Or at least have the following workarounds:
- Have a way to change the group of a plan. That way we can change the group to the original and delete the newly created group.
- have a simple way to import tasks from excel as a workaround. I'm not looking forward to learning flow so I can create workarounds
