send notifications of comments to the person the task is assigned to!
If I comment a task that's assigned to my colleague, they currently aren't notified about the comment. They should be because they need all information of tasks assigned to them.

I agree. I have communicated with someone who was assigned a task via a comment and I got an email and they did not. definitely a bug and something that cannot be trusted. This needs fixed. This should not have to be filled out in the suggestion area but in a bug area.

I propose that the notification of new comments to be sent only to the people that are assigned to the task. If the assignement change, the person that had the assignment removed will stop reveiving the notifications.
Only e-mail planner task comments to those that are currently assigned to the task if the planner is standalone.
Totally agree with the notion that those that are assigned get notified. I think I read that it currently only e-mails people that have previously commented on the task. Main point using task comments doesn't always notify the people you want it to. Below is my suggested tweak to how it should notify people that are assigned a task.
If the planner is part of a teams page do not send e-mails, but @mentions to those people assigned to a task at the time the comment is added.
This would really help to focus communications
