Email notifications for Guest users
Guest users should be notified by e-mail for any new assignments, due dates and late tasks. At the moment, only Members and Owners receive reminders for assigned tasks.
When a task is assigned to a guest, they should receive an e-mail with the information sent to their e-mail address outside of the Office 365 tenant.
Reminders sent to the guest's e-mail address
Updates to the task sent to the guest's e-mail address.

This is so needed, sending an extra reminder every time i want to update the other party removes the need of having planner at all. Urgently needed if this tool will be used by us (since we recently started using teams we are trying it out currently).

I don't understand why this isn't done, 2 years and no update from MS, it's such an obvious need.

That would make task management between organizations with different tenants much easier.

It's a joke that this isn't automatically included. I've spent hours setting this up to colaborate with external parties, only to find this functionality doesn't work...

Esta es una necesidad. La colaboración con los "usuarios invitados" en el planificador es prioritario.

This is a must have. Collaboration with guest users in planner and no notifications is a huge flaw.

This is mandatory functionality for this to be a viable tool for any but the most insular of users.
