Email notifications for Guest users
Guest users should be notified by e-mail for any new assignments, due dates and late tasks. At the moment, only Members and Owners receive reminders for assigned tasks.
When a task is assigned to a guest, they should receive an e-mail with the information sent to their e-mail address outside of the Office 365 tenant.
Reminders sent to the guest's e-mail address
Updates to the task sent to the guest's e-mail address.

This is a deal breaker for us - the clients really not happy that they don't get notifications meaning we are no longer able to use Planner to work with them.

We work with guest users as well so this functionality of Planner of notifications should be applicable for them as well. It will make work easy for all.

What is the point of planner if you don't get automatic updates on Tasks that are new, updated, overdue. I might as well have a tracking spreadsheet i send out or put in a shared cloud service (dropbox or similar) for collaboration.

We and the business are paying premium to access to office 365 suite : 2 licence fees : Why can't we just collaborate ?
This is not expected from a so-called collaboration tool to limit access to guest user ( that as well have a 365 account ! )

The setting to choose notifications exists for a guest user so why doesn't it work? A puzzle indeed.

This is a must have feature. Without it using tasks on MS TEAMS & Planner is useless

If guests do not receive a notification, the tasks that are assigned to guest will for sure be late.

This is a huge bug. Its absolutely needed for a collaboration platform. Otherwise a 3 party tool will conquer Planner

Definitely needs to be sorted out, Teams is a collaboration platform and Planner sits within it, so make it works with all members of a Team

I spent a lot of time trying to find the reason for our guest to not receive e-mail notifications. And now I find this! Really bad and so disapointing.

Add include the feature for email notification to guest users in the future updates. I need to send email notifications to Guests users. When ever a task is assigned to them. without this feature it's a useless tool.
