Email notifications for Guest users
Guest users should be notified by e-mail for any new assignments, due dates and late tasks. At the moment, only Members and Owners receive reminders for assigned tasks.
When a task is assigned to a guest, they should receive an e-mail with the information sent to their e-mail address outside of the Office 365 tenant.
Reminders sent to the guest's e-mail address
Updates to the task sent to the guest's e-mail address.

There is no way this should be a feature request. This is necessary for Planner to be a Minimum Viable Product.
I will be passing on the inclusion of the tool in our business collaboration.

I work as an external contractor for a company and am a 'Guest' on their planner. I can't be a member because my Office365 account is not with them. As a guest I don't get the emails so am out of the loop. This is a real limitation for me and the rest of the team.
Seems like a total bazaar omission to leave Guests out of the emails.

We absolutly need this feature in our current project, as people from two organizations work together as one team.
Please implement! :-) -

I totally agree, this option is crucial if we want to make this tool really collaborative

This function is very important. We work with several external partners. We lose valuable time (sometimes days) to manually inform everyone and complete tasks. Collaboration with external partners is currently very difficult.

This is an absolute must! Why bother having guest access if they can't get notified of tasks and changes? Must resolve immediately!

What is the purpose of cloud based project information management if "Guests" - equals at the table but treated differently by 365 - can't get notifications?

This is absolutely a waste of a collaboration tool if this notification for guests are not available.

@microsoft - in order to convince people to move to Planner, this is a MUST !

PLEASE have this updated - otherwise it is not possible to collaborate with anyone outside your own company's MS 365 environment. Even people from your own company in another country might not be using the same.

How can we use Planner with guests if they don't know when something has changed or task assigned to them?
Please, please, please activate this feature asap. Pleeeeeeeease!!
