Task Notifications and @mention in Planner
- Notifications to the task creator on any changes to a task's status in planner
- Email notifications should include the plan/board that that the task is associated to or a part of
- User should be able to @mention other users within a task
- User should be able to create private channels within a team
I see this post has more than 6 months.... How long it will take you to develop something that Trello has already since long time ago...???
#3 is the main one we need - ability to pull someone else into a conversation on a Task. Otherwise, conversations spill out of Planner into ordinary email or other formats, which gives people an excuse to stay out of Planner altogether.
These are critical features. #3 especially. Astounding there's no built-in way to ping a person for an update on the task that they own given that a primary need for PgMs is to make sure people are executing.
I really like planner but the default notification is everybody, or nobody..
Sometimes we poll other members from our team when working on a task, so it would be great if we could use the @mention function.
I use Teams to communicate for projects, and link to Planner for assigning tasks. Unfortunately, I'm unable to mention members on certain tasks. It would be helpful to be able to link platforms.
