This would be extremally helpful to make the tool more interactive. Also, it would eliminate the need of ever having to use Trello.

This is a much-needed feature! Productivity is slowed by not being able to notify people of comments pertinent to them. Also the ability to follow specific tasks and receive notifications would be very helpful!

Really need this, such an obvious feature! Pretty please Microsoft :). Atlassian and Trello had this years ago...

I can't believe this hasn't been implemented yet. Looks like a fairly basic functionality that should have been built in long ago.

I think that me most important thing is @mention in comments and notification, better in Teams. My company is moving to Wrike only for this. Unbelivable.

I agree. We have stuck with trello and not moved to planner for two real reason. the biggest is the lack of @ mentions. Second is trello is much nicer on the eyes with backgrounds. Pretty much every review i have read on planner says one of the cons is lack of @ mentions.

Without #3 it's very hard to move people away from Trello. Please make this a high priority change!

The "mention" functionality is great. However, any assigned persons should always get a notification email when a comment is added. But, nobody ever needs a notification email when they comment on a task themselves.

I was surprised to see how @mentions have not been implemented as of yet to Planner, especially since they have already been implemented across other O365 tools. Myself and my team rely heavily on it to communicate/notify each other, and this is one tool that I feel should really be implemented.

I actually was surprised how limited planner is. No @mentions, no way to paste images from clipboard, ... This feels like dinosaur software in the O365 environment.

Please add @mentions, I was surprised when I tried to mention someone in a comment and it didn't work! This was a feature we used all of the time in Trello.

Please implement this! Planner is almost useless without it. I want to let someone know about about a specific question in Planner. I'm likely going to move my entire team over to Trello.

@mention other users within a task is very much required if their work depends on this task and if they need to update their work depending on any changes in this task.
