Literally a critical feature. If this isn't Planner's no.1 roadmap priority then you're bananas.
It's barely usable without it. Basic user scenario - 2 people are collaborating on a task, one person says: 'Hey @joeblogs ive just added an attachment, left a note, and here's a comment @mentioing you specifically'
....end scenario.
Joe Blogs hasn't been notified of the attachment, the note, the comment, or even the @mention of his name. Despite being the owner of that task. It's kind of the whole point of project management. When the Teams integration was built, i thought to myself 'Ah finally! Teams collaboration!' buuuuuut nope. Still can't notify people. Even though the app is called 'Teams' - not much teamwork going on with this one!
Personally, I feel it must have been part of the MVP? Very weird!!

Ridiculous this is not a feature. All other apps like this have it.

This is super essential in collaboration around tasks in a plan. Communication around one task should not require someone to be assigned to the task in order for the notification to be sent to that person.

We will just have to use Trello until this functionality is added. I just won't be able to convince my users to step back 3 years.

My team used to use Trello which allows for @mentions especially when you want to Inform (RACI) somebody, not assign a task to them. I've convinced them to migrate to Planner, but now they can't use the @mention feature they are used to using. Please add this feature.

Upvoted... almost unreal that @ mentions are not available within tasks on Planner. I really hope MS gets around to implementing this.

Would love to use it for checklist options on template tasks, so that regular routinge Jobs can be directed to the dedicated persons.

Please add the feature that we can use the @ to notify people inside a task in planner.

This is THE reason we don't use Planner.

This suggestion is from 2018 and Microsoft did not even care to implement it ? I'm really afraid that our experience with microsoft 365 is not going to be as we expected, these are crucial and common sense to have a feature, sorry, a fundamentality in a project management tool in the late 2000s
What's is really wrong with you guys at MS not seeing the need of such a thing?

The lack of @ mentions severely handicaps Planner for use as a shared planning tool. Trello is a much better tool as a result. Unfortunately, I am stucking using Planner and have to send side emails to keep team members updated.

This is an absolute must-have!
It should work like it does already in Azure DevOps Boards and many other similar services.A separate story, but it could be great if Azure DevOps and Planner tasks could be integrated...
