Task Notifications and @mention in Planner
- Notifications to the task creator on any changes to a task's status in planner
- Email notifications should include the plan/board that that the task is associated to or a part of
- User should be able to @mention other users within a task
- User should be able to create private channels within a team
I actually was surprised how limited planner is. No @mentions, no way to paste images from clipboard, ... This feels like dinosaur software in the O365 environment.

Please add @mentions, I was surprised when I tried to mention someone in a comment and it didn't work! This was a feature we used all of the time in Trello.

Please implement this! Planner is almost useless without it. I want to let someone know about about a specific question in Planner. I'm likely going to move my entire team over to Trello.

@mention other users within a task is very much required if their work depends on this task and if they need to update their work depending on any changes in this task.
Yes..please put @mentions in planner
Please put mentions in the planner and all areas within Microsoft products domain, where ever text fields exists. It helps a lot of business us cases
#3 is absolutely essential for collaboration. It's incredible that this has not been implemented
This would be a big value add. Without it, I'm considering moving the team off of Planner and onto Trello. Anyone know if this feature is on the Planner roadmap or is at least a strong contender for being added? Looks like the Planner Roadmap hasn't been updated for 2020. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Planner
Notifications and @ mentions are so needed in Planner!
Very useful to re-focus an assigned user on a new update to the task

A agree - this feature is critical! Without it, it's quite hard to work with planner in a collaborative way. I would also, as i project our delivery manager, like a "Master overview" of all tasks within the Team-space - or even across Team-spaces to plan, delegate and follow up on tasks across projects and teams.
Is the mention-feature planned in any release soon?
We need @mentions. This is useless without them

This would be a very beneficial feature. It's hard to believe it isn't already available. I've seen users asking for this for a few years now. Development, please roll this feature out!
Vote on these 5 other posts as well to help get this implemented:
Yes, #3, absolutely need @ mentions

Mentions and the possibility to assign separate task to someone within a project is a must have feature.
(3) Absolutely necessary

Need to revert to outlook for something that could be handled so easily. Why this isn't even an option breaks the relevance of the product completely.

@mentions is really a missing feature in planner, specially considering the nature of Microsoft Team. It feels kinda broken when I want to update the task with a comment that needs attention from someone.
