Restore Deleted Buckets
We need the ability to restore deleted buckets, in a situation where a team member deletes a bucket by mistake it's impossible to recover it, meaning that all the tasks added to that bucket are gone as well. There's not even a warning when you delete a bucket to deter the user from deleting it

Add to that, if you make a copy of a plan and delete the copy, it also deletes the original! I had a template plan with numerous copies and just deleted one I didn't need and POOF they are ALL gone!!! This is hours of work that needs to be recaptured. Absolutely rubbish! We might have to move back to our old Gantt programs - this didn't happen there!

It is very easy to accidentally delete the bucket list on the mobile as it only takes two clicks in the same area as you create new buckets.
And the fact that it is not possible to restore with a backup is unacceptable, considering how many companies which use Teams today. -

Great! I worked on my plans approximately 10 days. Then my browser (Chrome) updated it self and all my plans were deleted. This is incredible! And guess what! Microsoft planner does not have a backup.
So all of my data 10 days work is gone! Thank you Microsoft!
This software should not be used before any major back-up update have been made. -

I copied tasks to a new plan and deleted the original plan, but everything (including copied tasks) were deleted. It'd be so great if that were not the case!

I have exactly the same situation with Alison Witchell. This is really frustating and all the data that has been submitted has gone. The original planner was there but the content was missing.
Moreover, it was not only planner, but I wrote down all the progress there and I didnt have any backup. Please fix this issue immediately . Thank you

I created a copy of a plan by accident so I went to delete the copy, just to tidy my plans and not to confuse everyone by having 2 versions and it has also deleted my original. Please note that I did tick the option to remove, the copy permanently, which I thought was a reasonable and logical action, as I did not want a copy floating around.
This is really frustrating as I was not warned of this prior and only when I took the time to research this, it appears that there is nothing I can do to retrieve the original but to vote, so here I am typing this request. I really like planner and I have been chosen to be a champion for my company for Dynamics and I am very impressed so please help us by rectifying this issue as soon as you can. -

Just deleted a tab with my entire tasks plan, knowing I can see the task in another tab (had double bu mistake) and have nothing now since it deleted the other tab as well. Any way to recover it as soon as possible?

We have been a victim of this particular "feature". We would welcome any protective measures that could be added to MS Planner to limit exposure to this. Even if it some way to recover from "trash" for a limited period of time.

NEED THIS ASAP!! Planner is an awesome tool, but will be rendered useless if we can't limit permissions of the "non-admin" users.

Any ETA for this? Thanks.

At a minimum there should be a warning but a restore is essential for recovering lost information

This has just happened to me. New laptop & couldnt see our team planner - something to do with the build i was told. So created a copy, same issue. Deleted the copy. This also deleted the original. I am going to be so popular with my team tomorrow when I tell them that I have just deleted all their plans & there is no way of recovering them....

Had similar issue when copying plan. Edited the new version only to find both original and new version were changed. Given that all tasks and buckets were either modified or deleted in the edit then lost all of the original plan. As user said on 11 Feb it makes the app risky to use. Anyone tried Asana?

Should be a good function but would not solve the problem I have.
My planner is still there, but it is empty. I have not deleted one task. The support team could not solve the case.
