or just settings so the planner doesn't have the same rights as the channel. Only the owner can delete tasks, etc...

Or log or a adm profile, there are many options to solve this issue.

Yes, the task deletion should be tracked / controlled by the plan owner. Members should not be allowed to delete a task, this makes planner useless if I'll loose my tasks because someone intently or by mistake deletes it. Even there is no recycle bin to see the deleted tasks.

Please have a user option to remove the permission or option to delete (anything, not tasks, not groups, not buckets) I have to many people in the field using the app and hitting the "X" to close something and they keep deleting tasks, buckets, and so on.

Hello Planner Developers,
Many of us are hoping you will further develop Planner and so we don't have to go and use other programs like Trello, which allows archiving, deleting/restoring buckets and tasks.
It would be great to see developments and what you are doing on the Road map:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=PlannerI'm sure like many others are worrying if Planner is just going to be stuck in this current state.
May we get an update, please?
Thanks in advance!

Adding my 2 cents. I'd love to use planner but the current functionality is a hard stop.

The tool is amazing. However, we should be able to manage credentials and authorizations. When you work with different levels of professionals, especially dealing with junior staff, it is important to restrict the ability of deleting items. Otherwise, big projects can be harmed by honest mistakes.

completely agreed Morgan.. I have to train people and count on them not deleting tasks I sent them which is ridiculous. There needs to be real solution to this
- Permission support (allow/disallow deletions by task assignee)
- Email to owner when it happened (with the task log copied to email)
- Ability to restore a deleted taskSame goes for buckets

Hello Microsoft? I am not sure if you are reading these or not, but the fact that anyone can delete a task, bucket, or plan without the ability to get it back is a serious issue. Type "delete" into the search window and you will see that there are hundreds of comments and votes on this issue. Many of us would like to use Planner to track completion of action items that we will later be audited on. If they can be deleted then we can't use Planner for this purpose. Please address this issue.

Single click deletion of corporate data - no second chance, no warning, no undo, no trash bin. How can we be expected to use this (otherwise wonderful) software in any serious way? This is a must have!!
