Please implement permissions (access, deletion, change, read etc) for planner
There are several Uservoice threads for this but they are all being ignored, MS have no interest in making their product usable, you have to look elsewhere for that.
Please Microsoft, how is this not built into it? It renders it completely useless to management without permission settings.
I use the planner add-in in Tasks as a help desk ticket system. It comes with O365 so no added costs and I like it's simplicity. I've made IT a public team with all members of our company automatically added and have added a few of my IT staff as managers of the IT team.
My ideas on permissions are as follows:
1) Managers of the team could continue to manage all tasks
2) Users only see their own tasks by default with option to have full or view only rights after they create a task, but that user can add comments regardless
3) Team managers could assign a user the ability to view or edit other user's (or all users) tasks. This "operator" would also have the ability to comment on any tasks that are visible to them.

As you add any team member, they automatically have full control and can delete things they may not have intended. As we have Executives who look at the Planner tasks, i would like to give them Read access only so they cannot make changes in an "unaware" fashion.
