Link tasks between different plans
It would be extremely helpful if you could create a task in one plan and have it duplicated in a separate plan(s), and only needing to update the task in one place.
Example. I create a task in Plan A. I duplicate the task in Plan B. When I make any changes or updates to the task, it updates in Plan A and Plan B.

How on Earth has this not been implemented yet?! More two years since this basic functionality was described to Microsoft's product leadership. They could have just gotten a third party to do it.

It would be very useful functionality to link one task to another (in another Plan). Also please consider option to implement a static field with task unique number(auto-generated by system), which could be used for fast reference and searching. Field could be hidden if not required, somewhere in upper left side of the task pane.

Agree, that would be great for larger teams, which use different Planner instances

This is really important because sometimes one task contributes for different plans... then you would need to update only one instancve of them so all the others are automatically updated...

This is really one of the most missing feature. Furthermore it would be great, if some tasks can be restricted for certain members or just being visible to externals from your team.

Really needed, this would boost planner and make it a real competitor for Trello

This would be very helpful for a couple of team members, who participates in different projects and also have to report in a department planner. The lack of this feature generates unnecessary double work and mistakes.
Please add the possibility of linking tasks between different plans!

This is exactly what I am looking for. I have several departments involved in the same tasks and if a task could be synced between team, all my copy and paste issues are over.
I have read that you can copy tasks now to different team via the "..." but what we need is not only be able to copy tasks over but that the input is synced as well

My vision for using this is to set up a quick and easy service request system. My group has other groups requesting product labeling. I could set up a separate Team for each project requiring labels. Each project Team could then post label requests. My Team could then link the request Task to our Plan. As we work through satisfying the request, we would update the Task and our internal customers could track the progress.

Agreed, this would be helpful for linking plans from different teams in the same department with their own team plans but with cross over tasks that are not able to be associated to each other.

This lack of this is basically what prevents me from using Planner in a meaningful manner

This is a vital feature to avoid having to created multiple, unnecessarily overlapping teams.

Yes please, it would be very useful to have tasks visible across different boards in different teams. Ideally the task would be editable on all boards but a step in the right direction would be editable only on the primary board and with view only on secondary boards.

Agreed. Please make this happen. I am hesitant to incorporate Microsoft planner because it would "add" another step (using another software) for my team.
