Add options on how tasks are color coded and shown in Calendar/Schedule View.
Thanks for releasing the calendar/schedule view! Currently the schedule view is coded only based on task progress (pink: late, white: not started yet). It is kinda monotone, and hard to see when we have a lot of tasks. So, I think it would be nice if we can choose how the tasks are presented in calendar view, e.g. based on label color, bucket color, or progress.

The calendar view is an almost meaningless wash of uniformity. Tasks need to be distinguished by color, preferably with options on how to apply colors: Assigned team members, Departments, or an independent color panel that we can flexible apply to each task. We need more colors, too.

Just started using Planner and completely agree - will make each area identifiable from a simple view

Please add this option. I'm trying to move workflow into Teams, Planner, and Sharepoint and categorizing by person/color would be so helpful for the PMs and Execs to see at a glance

Change colors on individual tasks to match the catergoy. Currnenty the task turns green after the project is closed and the text is crossed out. If this can work in reverse that would be great. Also if a custom menu can be done to include percent complete: it can be customized up to 100.

Great tool, but this feature is sorely needed to see at a glance where team members are double-booked.

Is this going to be an option sometime? Looks like this has been a request since 2018, a lot of us rely on the colors codes in calendar view to determine what team is where at a quick glance.

This is beyond basic this sort of functionality

Trying to get my team to migrate to Planner from Basecamp and this is a key issue that's stopping us. Why offer the color coding at all if it doesn't convert over to the schedule view? A calendar view is where color coding becomes most useful.

This would be so useful. The inability to control colors makes the calendar feature far less useful for us. We'd want to use labels, or maybe buckets to display colors.

It would be great indeed to be given options to colour code tasks as these appear in Schedule view. Preferably by task tag or by user.
It looks like a lot of people have same requirement so I hope Microsoft will take this into consideration soon. -

If the calendar event colour can based on priority will be good for now. We can use it to track important date at least.

It would be great to see labels in the schedule view so that we know which kind of task it is in one glance on the calendar, and what is overlapping. I manage digital activities, and I need to know if one task is a social media, and if it happens on the same day.

I need to task assignments to have different colors. I manage a team and it would help so much if there was a color indicator of tasks assigned to the different people on the calendar. The glanceability would save me lots of time!

Schedule view is so poor with limited control over colours. all tasks not started are the same colour rather than choose to colour by bucket or label, etc. 2 years to fix such a feature. again MSFT really behind the competition. needs enhanced asap.
