Drag&Drop for adding file attachments to tasks
When opening a task, please enable drag and drop files from Windows Explorer to tasks.
Now need to click "Attach"->File->browse for file.
Drag&drop for adding attachments straight from Windows Explorer works in Redmine.
It should work in Planner the more, as obviously both are MS products.
Jonathan and Kris are absolutely right. In 2020 this should be a MUST. Especially for a big player like MS.Since 2018 waiting for ... and using asana instead.

why isn't this possible yet? multiple file upload, either via drag and drop or a dialog seem obvious here.

the ability to take several pictures in a row while attaching them to a task in the mobile application would be critical as well. having to approve each individual pic is a time sink.
Hi Microsoft, if you want to keep all the files in SharePoint, you can have a default folder that stores all the dragged and dropped files in that particular group workspace.... Users should be able to drag and drop files in 2019.. In the meantime, unfortunately, I will have to use Asana or another free tool. So while I am preferring to keep all my stuff under 365, it seems like it will only be a 150/365..

Microsoft, any thoughts on this? It's really critical. You may be getting adoptions on teams, but you won't get a huge buy in unless this can be fixed. Every other modern Project Management tool I've used has this.

Yes!! Much needed. I'm using Planner with Teams and can't even attach a document without it first being saved in the files section of Teams. This is very frustrating. Our organization is looking at other systems like JIRA to help with the management of tasks and projects due to this issue.

Please also support paste images (jpg/png etc) from clipboard directly in a task, just like it's possible in the To-Do Desktop app.
Look at Trello, there it is possible to do both (in the browser!).
this is essential for productivity
agreed, drag and drop is essential.
an absolute must for a modern app

Agree this drag and drop from Explorer, Email or SPO would improve Planner integration significantly
Agree...and not just Explorer. I would also like to be able to drag an email from outlook to become an attachment. Any update from the Planner team on this?
This would be very nice - it's awkward to open file explorer if attaching outlook emails for reference points.
