Add more options to Planner Flow Connectors
Make the Planner Flow connector more robust, such as the ability to attaching a file or updating the details and comments when creating a task. For instance, if you choose to have an incoming email create a task, you should be able to have any attachments added to the task, and the message body entered in details or comments.

Hi everyone!
As you share what you want for the Planner Flow Connectors – can you also share what flows you would be building with these changes, and what scenarios would be enabled?
Thank you!

Two Planner trigger requests please
One, Add applying a label to a task in Planner as a trigger. For instance, when a label is applied to a task in Planner, send a message to Teams.
Two, Add moving to a bucket as a trigger. For example, when a task is moved to bucket X send a message to Teams.

When using the create task action in power automate (flow), would love for the label functionality to mirror the Plan ID or Bucket ID functionality.
I.e. Using planner buckets as an example, there are specific values tied to bucket id which can be queried using "List buckets" action. This returns a "value id". This value id could be used to fill in a Label option rather than selecting true/false for six pre-specified labels.
Alternatively, being able to just write the label name in text would be equally as useful. Thanks!

Is very important to add checklist items and flags

Me, I really need to be able to handle checklists. So to create them, add items, delete items, update them in a reasonable way. So without using Graph for example.
Without it, I will have to work around using Planner for our current projects and probably go with another product. We are trying to avoid using third party solutions as much as possible, but not having access to the base functions of Planner.. (I sure count creating a checklist as a base function.)

Assuming templates for checklists are not implemented as a built in feature, I would like to create a flow to add default checklists to tasks created in certain buckets. I tried but was frustrated to find this is not possible.

We created a power app to capture order entry data and pass that info along to the data entry person via a Planner Task and a generated Word Doc in Teams and CRM. We have Planner tasks created as templates for different type of orders and our Power App and Flow can copy one of these templates, attach the document and assign to the Order entry person. However you don't allow any of the useful info on a task to be copied! We NEED the CHECKLIST items and other key pieces of info. We found a custom connector and used it and the Graph API to successfully copy ENTIRE tasks but if you subsequently copy that new task, the order of the checklist items gets randomly screwed up. Why did we need to get custom connector to do this? Please add to your OOB connector to allow a tasks checklist items and all other info to be copied! You have enabled us to manually create tasks as templates and copy everything, why didn't you open it up to the connector?
When I opened an o365 support ticket to get help they basically said they can't help me because I used a custom connector. Again, why did you force me to use a custom connector? It is about as intelligent as if you created a Power Automate connector for Exchange that helps users copy e-mails but only brings along the To: field and the Subject line but excludes all the important info in the body and any attachments...

I use a flow to (re)create monthly tasks in a fixed plan based on a template (SharePoint lists). When all tasks are completed, the buckets and its tasks are deleted and the plan is filled again based on the (adjusted) template. What I'm missing in the Planner connector:
- the ability to set all tasks properties, like category, priority, checklist items etc.
- delete buckets / tasks
- trigger when a task is deletedI'm also missing the ability to work with a due date time within the Planner app and the export funtionality to the Outlook calendar. All tasks are assigned as an all day event now.

Trigger, when new comment is added --> post to MS Teams channel. No one is reading the group mailbox, want to be able to get it to Teams where people will read it.
Same trigger -> email to people assigned to task.
Trigger, when label has changed. This way we can get notified (Teams, email), if a label switches (ultraurgent!)

We are using PowerAutomate to integrate Planner tasks with SharePoint lists and libraries as well as Outlook calendar and approval flows.
The API should expose all features of a Planner Task so that we can use a flow to setup a new Task under a bucket on any Planner board.
- Create check lists
- Description
- Toggle category labelsThere should be an event for a trigger when a Planner Task has been updated with details about the change whether a check list item has been checked off or unchecked or remove or created, etc. These change event triggers are needed so that we can more tightly integrated Planner Tasks with other O365 apps.

Thank you soooo much for asking!!
- Definitely be able to add or modify checklist items ( mark them)
- Trigger : when a check list item is ticked ( and be able to know which one)
-Trigger : when a task is updated with filter possible on the status or any other action
- Or Trigger when the status of a task changes
- ability to copy (or move) a task to another plan with ALL content ( check list / comments / dates / labels)
- List tasks : ability to put filter (example : not finished / between 2 dates / assigned to X/ late / in the next period (day / week / month / custom
-Upate task ( all parameters should be updatable ( importance / set or remove label)
- Plan : create a label
- add custom fieldsTypical scenario : we have customers that have recurring actions (exemple : monthly financial closure ) and they want to have planner tasks created ( not a full copy of a plan, but adding new tasks with the new period due dates) this involves adding labels , check list items etc...
Other scenario : Send a message to the group when specific tasks are updated
Other scenario : we had to split a plan in 2 ( as the client had reached limit) . we could not do it with planner because we were loosing too many things (labels , comments etc...) so we had to copy the plan in 2 new plans and remove the taks manually because there is no delete task in planner
Instead of all of us mentionning the same feature with a different wording, maybe a questionnaire where we could vote for all features ( even with option : can't live without, nice to have, don't care) would be great! -

Being able to create, update and delete checklist items would be an important addition to the Planner Connectors.

- Being able to copy and paste whole plans (with check lists etc) either as a plan or as all tasks within a plan, or for brownie points: all tasks with a plan matching a bucket or label,
- Facility to engineer recurring tasks: We want to use Planner to stay on to of our recurring obligations. That means we need to be able to create new tasks in a plan including checklists/attachments etc
- Flow could trigger Tasks to be assigned on Business day 5 or 10 etc rather than just by calendar days,
- also could really use some logic about avoiding weekends or public holidays (if due on non work day, bring forward/push later to closest business day)
- Connectors to act on planner checklist items - 'when checklist item is checked, pull back text to be used in further steps' (item: "Induction completed" - IF checklist text matches "induction" reassign task to Accounts Team to collect Salary Payment Information... ) -

Ability to create custom fields. We track our development lifecycle with these cards but we are limited to fields provided. We want to be able to add requester names, business departments that made the request, and other fields that will allow us to better sort and prioritize work. Being able to add dropdown list fields and text fields would be solve our need.

+1 For the below items of Jean-François Davignon
"I want to be able to modify progress, priority, assignment, start date, add comments, and select labels when a task is transitioned across buckets, progress status changes, priority changes, or an item is checked in the check list. This would allow for some serious process automation."

It would be great to have a flow create a task and also add a standard checklist to that task. Also any attachments would be good to add to that task

The primary ones I would love to see is the ability to access comments and iterate through them or possibly have it as a trigger. Also, the ability to delete a planner task natively without the need to use REST APIs. Another one that would be a good alternative to the delete function is to set a retention policy on a plan. The way we use Planner in our organization is one plan for our team which has seen thousands of tasks added and completed. We have to manually clean it out from time to time which is just not practical.
