What is insane is there is no real error message.. why not report the limit issue in the returned error???

It does not make sense to have a system like Planner have any limits to it, as many of the prior commenters have stated, it renders it useless and a waste of time for those building out a Plan to then discover that it it limited. This idea was shared in 2017 and it is approaching three (3) years later, when will it be addressed?

Please remove limits. For a platform that interacts with Sharepoint which boasts the support of massive amounts of documents, it does not make sense to have a 200 document limit in Planner. We currently have a 1,088 task plan a majority of which need document attachments. Also, only having 250 active tasks is completely unrealistic for any company with more than 50 people. If this is expected to be a usable product especially in a corporate setting, all these limits are unreasonably low.

Please remove these limits or atleast it should have been communicated earlier.
Its such a good product and when we are excited to use and using it, we are being hammered by this bad news of limitation. -

Please remove the limit of attachment. It becomes difficult to maintain overview when we have to store related files in different locations - defeats the purpose of the planner function for us.

The limitation is death for the use of the product. We are currently converting a complete invoice check workflow to the Planner. That means we would have had a shutdown in a few weeks

We just spent days building a system to manage tasks for dozens of users that uses automated creation of tasks. The owner of the Flow will surely run out of tasks and render our system useless! With the #3 and #4 limits, our system will break and be useless for sure.

11 people limit is rendering planner useless in many cases for us. 20 items checklist as well...

Absolutely need these limitations removed!! Especially the active tasks and the task per user limits! The 200 per bucket has to go as well!

I vote for this also ... we need to keep track of many more tasks, across our team of ~ 12 people, and definitely want to keep all task history

We use a service account to generate recurring Planner tasks (e.g., monthly account closings) and need to have these limits removed.

Vote #4 - This is important for smaller teams that do not need all the functionality in MS Project and want to use Planner for it's simplicity. If a single user (PM or Coordinator) is designated to create tasks this limit could be reached quickly.

This really needs to be raised. Otherwise if we use Planner for more than a year we will hit these limits and be forced off of Planner or to delete tasks, which would cause us to loose history, which is entirely unacceptable.

According to O365 support (06/08/2018) the limitations are as follows:
200 is a limit on the buckets in a Plan.
250 is the limit on active tasks in a Plan.
300 is the limit on tasks assigned to a user.
1500 Overall tasks that can be created in Planner Tenant.
13.92 MB attachment size in Planner.
