Ability to change background color
I'd like to be able to change the background color - easier to identify what board I'm in + cards would stand out more. Depending on display we use, there is not enough contrast between cards and background, making it hard to see.

For those who have Planner open all day, this would be a significant UX improvement

This is pretty much the same function as this one:
https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525-microsoft-planner-feedback-forum/suggestions/33145384-add-options-on-how-tasks-are-color-coded-and-shownThey should be combined, as color coding on boards adn schedule views would be a big improvement to the usefulness of the planner.

This update would be greatly appreciated as the white on white scheme is harsh and visually unappealing

This would be a great improvement. Could you say something about timeperiod for realising this?

Agree. Furthermore I would strongly suggest to migrate tot a trello like background where the bucket as a whole has different background. It would visually be better.

+1. I nearly stopped using Planner when the background recently went white. The cards are very difficult to see, white-on-white with just a subtle shadow. Please revert back to the previous grey background so that the task cards have visual contrast again.

The old default of having a grey background and white cards was a comfortable format. Now with white cards on a white background it is VERY uncomfortable. Ability to fix this contrast is vital. Huge oversight by MS in my opinion. It's as if none of the company even uses Planner or surely they'd notice?

If you add a jpg and select it to visible on the card, it kind of works. Just create a jpg for each status you want colours for e.g. RED P1, YELLOW P2. or planning=Yellow, doing=Blue, completed=Green, Stalled=maroon etc

Ability to change 'card' colour in addition to labels would assist with organisation and visual cues

The tab colours are good but to have the ability to also change the card colour like a post it note would be super handy

I'd be happy with a simple border around the card - hard to use atm

Is anyone from Microsoft really reading this - it's like they want people to use Trello- the only logical explanation I can think of is that they want to buy Trello and don't want to put any money into Planner. Just a guess.
