Would like for Owner's in a Team, Group or Plan to be able to change user's/member's permissions within Planner so they can:
4) No Access

Yes, please do it!

Read only permission is needed for many to read and follow-up on task and then come back to the meeting and report the status so PM can close the task. If we allow all members to edit, delete, how do PM can manage the list and program/project.
Totally Agree, we do not want them changing the priority, due date, etc.
4) No Access
This is a basic need
Totally Agree. This will be useful for sharing plans with management who should only access it from a READ ONLY perspective as well as a Working group who need to access it in EDIT mode.
Deafening silence from the team on this - a critical, *basic* piece of functionality. What a joke.
Especially for managing a sales group.
It is even better is the member can only view the plan or tasks has been assigned to this person.
This is a must have.
Either do the Planner read-only or offer the option of a calendar, which doesn't allow users to tick stuff off. I want to use it as a central training calendar
Its a shame that the most common-sense items seem to get little attention. It would allow planner to become a sophisticated Kanban tool workable in larger organisations instead of it being a tool for small startups only.
Larger companies need reporting!
We use planner as a Kanban board and business users want to be able to view the status of the development efforts but we do not want them changing the priority, due date, etc.

I think, this should be given highest priority by Microsoft before adding any new features to planner
I agree, I should be able to give my boss access to see my Teams plans without them having to be a member of the Group.
Besides member and owner role, we need viewer role. My bosses want to be able to watch our planners.
My bosses also want to be able to just have a live view of the plans of other departments and teams but teams are afraid they can change the plan because there is no view-only rights system. We are using Office 365 and AD accounts.

When is this going to happen? When will a Microsoft representative comment on this?
Please add the following:
1) ‘Read only’ access - allowing viewing only
2) ‘Limited access to comments - allows only communication in the comments sections
3) ‘Limited access to assigned’ - only those assigned to the specific task can only alter that task and not have global access to all tasks
Please please please!!!!
I have other team leaders wanting to view our plannerhoweer I have to makethem a member, but I rally don't want them assignting tasks or deterining priority, changing buckets etc.
Please enhance to allow view only access.
Management of team permissions in Planner is essential functionality for our organisation. Not having these options will negatively impact user adoption across the business.
Yes please - in addition to the above it would be great to have:
- Read only - even if you have a task action allocated to you - then only specific people can update
- Read only but can update notes section of a task allocated to you - but not close/delete task
Hello members of Planner app of Microsoft. Great app. As a head of a project it is not desirable that every member of the project can remove/delete any task action or buckets any time regarding their limited roles. So please dear members of Planners bring some changes in the roles so that the members are not able to or delete these tasks/buckets. Thanks in advanced.
